-
Dear parents,
Any music course to recommend for 7 year old? -
hi, shoe…
I strongly recommend u try piano or violin for 7 yrs old kid…
u can go some music school to find out more…
eg, Ossia Music school or Yamaha Music school… -
hi shoe,
try lee wei song school of music. they teach kids strong music fundamental. gradually the kids know how appreciate a good singer and a good song, not blindly follow good looking singers. you can call them at 68830320. -
Dear parents,
Which musical instrument is more suitable for a 7yo boy (who can't sit still except to watch Ultraman)? Should he go for group or 1-to-1 type of classes? Is Piano easier than Violin?
I have no background in music, no time to sit in with him at the classes and certainly do not wish to holler at him to practise daily.
Do pm me if you have good, patient violin or piano teachers / good schools to recommend.
Will learning a musical instrument help kids to focus better?

HI Parents,
If your child is 6 and above, they should go for Ind lessons, anything less then that, is better for them to go for group class.
1st of all, you should have a plan like what you want to get from the programme and whats your plan for your child before enrol them with the school. That's because every school have different teaching and forcus. As parents, we should know what we want before we can get the right class. Teacher also plays an important part, therefore try to find out more about it.
I hope i'm able to help you with that. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

hi parents.. i recommend this music sch at orchard road, the sch is called magic fiddler. they specialise in music course for young kids..
my child is turning 6 soon, originally wanted to join their holiday program (only 8 lessons), but enjoyed the class so much and wanted to continue in 2011... im recommending it cos teachers there are very patient, and they are gd with handling young children, my boy is always looking forward to music class...
i have tried big music schs like yamaha (plaza sing) but i find that their tchers are not very passionate abt teaching... maybe it's my impression that they are more $ driven but i think my child needs the attention and more focused learning... he learns piano btw. he has tried learning violin from a private teacher but it looks so painful for him so we opt for piano instead.. i think 6/7yrs is the best age to start because once they turn older their fingers will not be that adaptable.... magic fiddle music sch has this course that allows your kid to try a few instruments such as piano/violin/drum/guitar/cello/ (a few more other options i cannot recall all of them) before signing up for a term so maybe you can enquire with them? if your kid is the kind who is indecisive i think it's better to go for trial... they have 2 branches... 1 at orchard 1 at city square.. hope this helps!

Yes, this is what i checked. This age no more in a group. As aging... hehehe! Worries not focus.
Half an hour class and one to one...Yeah!
how about Piano? worries to invest to expensive Piano. But those keyboard cannot play out with great sound tune. right?
:stupid:
