Hi, which is nearer to classrooms ? Side gate or main gate ?
Is the main gate very jammed up in the morning ?

to drop at main gate, its illegal parking. but many parents take chance but the child must know how to open door n walk to main gate n follow the crowd to the classrm, plus look out for cars (tho got rdblock but can hv teachers car) at zebra crossg.

side gate is safest. but risk of getting summoned if cant find a lot.
but we prefer side gate cos it lead to basketball court. no car at all. as the curr plc is a small sch, make no diff in terms of distance to classrm. but for perm plc, main gate nearer to classrm

I drop my daughter (P1) off at the side gate. I usually arrive between 0700 and 0710 hrs. I used to accompany her to the gate but since the final term, I just drop her off.

If you are patient, you will definitely manage to get a lot. There are always lots at a slightly larger carpark about 20 m or so away if you don't mind walking. If you just send your girl to the gate an get back to your car, unlikely that you will get summoned.

My pet peeve are the inconsiderate parents who simply park their vehicles (not always cars) at the side (not in a lot) for \"a while\" and thus causing obstruction to others (some are residents tho' who probably couldn't find alot the nite before)

my personal observations abt adults picking up their charges at the gate near basketball court. there are a few regulars who can’t be bothered to find a lot n wait. what they did was to stop at the sheltered pathway with engine still running. and as if this is not bad enough, these pple even do that when it is raining heavily thereby forcing other pple with kids in tow to walk in the open just to get to the opposite block .

so for those who are guilty, plse spare a thought to others and remind those who behaved in such manner that the last thing we want is to impart the wrong values to the young ones.

We used to drop our boy at the front gate (hey, before SNGS pri was there, CHS pri was there, wat! haha!). Simply bc next stop was SNGS! haha. But all drop-off was along road. There are wardens.

I would always go a little earlier, and park at the carpark and pickup at side gate. It was a terror in those days bc both SNGS & CHS pri parents would be all congregating at those carparks. Very crowded if don’t go early!

For the girls who received the ‘Good Academic Award’, is there anyway to find out the specific ranking of the child within the level?

I think the class form teacher will know the ranking of the girls in her class, but not sure if the level ranking is made available to the form teacher.

                  Pls advise.

oh does sng rank the child by position? i thot just ‘band’ the child into band 1-5, and group 1-5.

nvr see any class position in their report bk before.
i supp can use the overall grade as a benchmark

Class teacher will not disclose level ranking. However those gilrs who recieved \"best academic\" award are already within the top 10% of the level cohort. i.e. 1st to 21st/24th position in the whole level.
