      Hi Simplyjo,

I may go there to take a look this weekend.
May I know if they have school bus? I leave opp mental institue.
Do you think I can get a place for my child there for K1? I supposed it has closed by now.
Hmm, the school is closed on weekends, so there is nothing much you can see too. Yes, they have school bus services. You can call them at 64876757 between 8.30am - 2.30pm on school days to check. They have 2 sessions, 8.30am - 11.30am and 11.30am - 2.30pm.

          Hi All,

I'm planning to put my younger son in a childcare next year.

I just visited Cambridge @ Hougang (Poh Huat). The teacher told me the ratio is 1:11 which I think a little too crowded. I wonder how these 11 child managed to squeez their mattress into that small room with tables/chairs/bookshelfs around

My elder used to be in Joyous which ratio for N1 & N1 is about 1:8. which I find is rather good. I still think at the age of 4, personal touch is very much needed.

Sad to say, the centre closed in 2006 due to the increased in overhead cost.

Well, would appreciate if some of you could share your view on the cc that your child is in now around hougang/serangoon area.

                Hi Jeant,

I read some good review on St. Elmo but I’ve not been there myself to visit the cc. Plan to do this once I’ve settled with my elder’s pri school.

Do share if you’ve any good feeback for cc in hougang area.

                  hi.

ya. i planned to visit the St Elmo this comin monday. gonna bring along my elder gal there to have a look. had called them and got to know, after subsidy, the monthly fee for a child full day is $390. They have the 1 month trail period too. According to the supervisor of St Elmo, there is stil lots of seat avail for kids who’s born in 2006.

Oso plan to visit Grace but had already placed my name under waiting list. Heard from my neighbour, this ccc is oso quite well known in Hougang area. best suits those buddist as this is a buddhism ccc, which serve only Vegetarian. the fees r quite cheap too.

Hopefully I can get more comments on the above ccc. 1st time enrol kids in. kind of worried.

Sparkletots Alexandra is not bad but I heard each center varies so it is best to look at the place personally.

Milk and honey look rather disorganise 1 year ago when I visited while searching for childcare for my DS.

sparkletot @ alexandra ar?.. hmm. ya. u r rite. diff ctrs varies. the one at braddel hgts, i called. they said only 3 registrations for kids born in 2006. tons of vacancies. when i heard tat, i was wondering, how come? isst the ctr no good?

aiyo.. sometimes as parents, we r frickleminded. when was told 'full, waiting list', we will get slightly uoset over it. when was told 'lots of seat avail', we started to get worry. duno isst ctr no good or wat. i oso duno wat i wan :?

It's human nature, similar to how we decide on which store at the food court to go to, or which school to go to. If got queue must be good.
