If you are confident that yr son has something that SJI needs, put SJI as first choiuce and Maris nxt. Hve to inform you that the appeal list is approx 200 long.

Can anybody clarify with me Why the table G-1 on the booklet does not include all sch? There are only 66 schools on that list, but there are totally 160+ schools, I understand there are some IP schools should be excluded, but still meet that gap. Thanks.

Hi,

I thought that all postings are based on Merit. As long as you score higher than the next person, all your choices will be considered before the next person. In selecting the choices, you can put SJI first and Maris Stella 2nd. This means that you want to be considered for SJI first, then Maris Stella.

When the posting is out, you know if you get into SJI or Maris Stella or etc...
if you get Maris Stella but wants to appeal for SJI, you still need to go to Maris Stella to register on the 23rd Dec. At the same time, you go to SJI and submit the appeal form. You then have a confirmed place in Maris Stella. SJI will inform you if your appeal is sucessful by end of the year, or even 1st week of the 1st term.

Nan Hua , Swiss Cottage , Commonwealth , Fu Hua

You may not get Nan Hua. For the last three, u can consider one nearest to your house. The standards are more or less the same. You may want to look at their CCA and their track record in value adding their pupils.

You are correct. However in this instance, his chances of admission to SJI is remote apart from appeal. What happen if the cop of Maris will to rise to 235? He will be caught in an awkward position.

Didn't do as well as I expected Probably because I was complacent after I got my DSA Confirm offer. Anyway, I got 258+2 for my HMT and I'm off to NJC. YAY! :love:
