-
Hi Carrot
i noticed that your son’s score is exactly the same as my ds. may i know if you have decided on the school choices? can share with me? i am having a headache now, trying to decide…
thks -
Hi,
My ds with score of 248 + 2 was not offered 3rd Lang (French/ Jap/ German).
So top 10 % shd be above 248. -

Hi
Is the principal from secondary or primary? What is the reason behind the cop drop? :?
primary school principals still showing their stats that the top 10% is 250 or above
Based on our extensive kiasuparents network ( ) I don't think so. Someone did mention on the forum somewhere that lowest they've seen is 249?[/quote] -

(hopefully not that type of \"confirmed\" top score on result day that kept changing......ok, bad joke) -

If the COP for the top 10% is 249, it means the student are pack closer between 3% to 10% range.
My guess is the top 5 to 6 schools will have a drop of COP of 1 or 2 points. The subsequent ranked schools will have higher COP of 1 or 2 points. This excludes those schools going IP like Cedar which most likely will have a higher COP.
Any KS point for guessing correctly? :cheeky: -
Parents, how do you go about deciding which 3rd language to take if you are eligilble for all the 3 categories ? Is MSP the most neccessary? and which is the ranking in terms of popularity?

That is also what I think! :xedfingers:If the COP for the top 10% is 249, it means the student are pack closer between 3% to 10% range.

Yeah, it looks like top 10% starts from 249 then. If that's the case, there won't really be much of a drop in COP for top schools, since top 10% for last year was 248(even lower than this year's). There may not be any drop in COP scores for Top schools as such. At most, only 1 or 2 point drop, or none at all. -

Note: I am a student.
I chose Japanese because my school had Japanese lessons last year. Also, Japan is in Asia, so it's more likely I'll travel to Japan in the future compared to France or Germany.
Otherwise, you may want to consider Malay, because you can use them in neighbouring countries, where English is not that commonly used.
Well, if your child is interested in Bahasa Indonesia or Arabic, you may want to consider letting him/her take up the language.
