ooh, portsdown? that's far for me. actually i find jg is ok on weekends. used to be worse when we go there on weekdays, maybe becos weekdays includes all the kindy kids. so far the class is ok - dd enjoys it. but of course at a pretty hefty price. wil observe for a while n see whether its worth its while..
Hi foreverj, did you sign up for the Edurama programme in JG? Was it the 60 min or 90 min? They told me that the 90 min has some writing exercise, just wondering what is it?
I am trying to decide between JG and LW for my 5 yr old boy. -
for the 90 min, the children will write a few sentences on the activities \ drama \ book that they did for that day. The teacher will provide some helping words on the whyteboard.

yup i did. dd is now in the 90min class. finished term 1 now on 2. 90min has writing, tracing, cutting plus phonics. they also have sharing session and dramatisation which we like cos it encourages the child to speak up and boost confidence in the process. overall we r very happy with the teacher plus dd enjoys the classes, hence we continued with term 2. i've not tried LW but i find teachers r most impt. dd's teacher's pronunciation and diction is impeccable, communicates well and effectively with parents and kids. so u may want to try out this term for yourselfforeverj:

Can anyone comments how your child benefit from speech and drama?
I am considering of ACT3, Lorna or Juliel to enrol for my 2yr3mths old girl next year. Appreciate a lot your comments about these centres, be it good or not.
My daughter is very expressive and loves to sing/dance.
I am not sure speech and drama would help the child speaks fluently. I do hope to see so.
Appreciate your comments -

DD attended 1 year of Act3 when she was 4. From some of the performances that I have watched, I am quite impressed with what they got the kids to do (or act), like projecting their voice both when singing and speaking. While she doesn't go anymore, we still sign her up for some of the holiday workshops when time permits. Can anyone comments how your child benefit from speech and drama?

Do not have any experience with Lorna Whiston. As for Julia Gabriel, we were in their Chinese Edudrama. It wasn't speech & drama to me. It was more like a Chinese enrichment program. JMHO. -
hi my girl is ending her k2 this week. in her k2, she was taught with Speech & Drama lessons. as she proceed to pri school. i am thinking of letting her to carry on her Speech & Drama lessons. thus any one can advise which places or centre has good Speech & Drama lessons. I am staying in the east.
