Hi,
I am new here, my son just joined HCI this year.
Just to share a piece of information for the sec ones. Next Monday is consortium orientation, boys are required to bring writing materials and turn up in full school uniform. School will end at 1.30pm.
For those taking Malay as third language, the MSP coordinator will be contacting these boys next week.
Got the above information from HCI High Sch Admin 30 mins ago. -

Chirunner:
If I am not wrong if a child who choose sec school with SPGE (currently in most IP and selected sec school eg CHS and SJI) and be put in the same class with primary school GE students means he/she is qualified for GE programme in sec school. Not sure if RI put all primary GE students in one class and at the same time add on with some selected primary mainstream pupils at sec 1? And how did they do it ? base on t-score? Do they have a more \"enriched\" curriculum for those classes? sry ... :offtopic: hereMainstreamers are placed in ispark if they do well enough in the GAT. I guess if your sons scored well enough in the GAT, that's an indication that they'll be able, at least in the eyes of the school, to cope with the enriched curriculum, so don't worry.
The GAT (an aptitude test) is a better predictor of success than achievement tests like the PSLE. I was told by the ispark director that the school has seen boys who score top marks in PSLE struggle in sec school. -
