precisely the case....and my ds has been trying to locate the teacher, wrote email....etc
I thght LEP lesson already started last thursday.ksasalways:
Have been following up with my DS on the LEP and apparently no one from his class has been told what to do to sign up.
He download the class list from EMB and true enough, they have students from every class in Sec except his class....
Have written to Mdm Bian but no response. Anyone can help to clear my doubt??? :?
He even got this response from one of his teacher today in school ...\"ya lor, your class is the only class with no sign up\"
How can they sign up when they are not even told how to????
I think we need the sign in to parent portal soon, like yesterday. Also, I think it is only fair that with all communication going on EMB (massive info), parent must somehow have a way to access these info to prevent any tension between parent and child.... -
ApronMama:
Son told me that non of his classmate is aware of how to sign up... ... no teacher actually tell them anything about the procedure for signing up.
It could be the teacher asked and someone shaked his head and than the rest follow .... so end up whole class dun want.ksasalways:

If after the trial, a CCA want you and you want the CCA who want you also. Shouldn't it be a direct entry to simplify the process? But why is there a need to submit option still? :? After the option phrase, you might be given another CCA and need to appeal ... can someone enlighten me?

This is bcos the so called \"elite\" CCAs have the priority over the not-so-elite CCAs and your wish. For example, my DS was told by one CCA that he was \"in\" if he put that CCA as first choice, which he did. But the result was he was \"hijack\" by Waterpolo which was actually his 5th choice (at that time he tot sure no chance so he put it at lower rank). Of cos he was over the moon for the unexpected end result.
That is why the saying: in secondary schools, it is the CCA that chooses you rather than you choose the CCA.
