      kylene:

Can the PV work be shared amongst family? for eg, grandmother and mother , assuming that the school accepts both under whatever criteria they use. Or does the PV have to be done by 1 person?

Depends on the school - some allow Father and Mother to share the load, others may not. But generally, grandma/pa, aunties/uncle not part of the load sharing.

Only father or mother can do PV...NO grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle or MAID.

        Daddy 😧

If I know... I would have passed the PV interview... :stupid:

My neighbour is an accountant... got the PV... so that field should be a good bet. 🙂

why do they need accountant? Do the school accounts? i thought PV is usually become traffic warden, or data entry (if any) or become some cheap labour (Ku Li) to help up in school events ?

U'll be surprised on the stuffs that PV do nowadays... 😛

Times have changed, the schools look at PV for the things which they have gaps in. The usual stuff are recess etc but almost every parent can do it so when they have an inflood of requests, they tend to nit pick on the professions and what the parent can offer...

Yeah! Parents are free labor to school. I am in IT so I always asked to troublshoot their LAN system…etc. It was so stress in case I can’t fix their problem.

Yah lor really dunno what they want. I too got rejected. Offered ourselves for the mundane like traffic warden, data entry, to slightly more involved like story telling, reading programme, basic computer skills training, both Mac and Windows, to even the more involved like basic cookery workshops, character building workshops and even craft workshop. All not accepted. Maybe they want someone who can play the piano and dance ballet. Both of which DH and I cannot do. Haha.

Haiz whatever, DH and I have resigned ourselves to the best among the few schools that still have vacancies come phase 3.

probably the school would be the best person to answer...?
