All About Full-Time Maids

I am new in this forum.

Sorry to disrupt this discussion but I am in the process of hiring a new maid and would like to get your advice. I went to this agency called Union United Employment located at Katong S.C. Does anyone have experience with this agency?

For me, I told her she must learn her lesson and this time when she built her home, must be in her own home-town and not let her husband get the house-deed or whatever ever again!

She has now decided to dump her husband but can see she is quite sad and sometimes distracted when she was going through this. During her 1st year here, the husband's first wife even call her to try to sweet-talk her to give them money because the 3 children needs to go to school and university! :?

When she told me this, I was very unhappy and told her I did not give her the hand-phone so that her lousy husband and FIRST WIFE can call and disturb her in SG! She said she did not hang up but just left the handphone on let the woman talk and talk.

I told her yah what, she gundo because people see that even after this man aka. her husband took and sold all her house and money, she still forgive him and continue to want to love him despite not even supporting her. So Tom, Dick & Mary (1st wife!) also call her lah! Suckle mah! (Not in so harsh words but essentially this is what I told her!).

So now she ignore her husband, building her house in her own village. Her family members now happy with her for dumping her husband. And her girl also told everybody her father has died! :shock: Her girl is now 5 - 6 years old and looked after by her aunty.

My maid now on home-leave for 2 weeks continuing to build her house.

sat newspaper said two woman going to serve jail term cos they threw frozen meat at their maid… the mistakes they did that trigger the woman are those our maids will usually do… haaa… so must really control, else if do something out of anger and regret… cos got to eat curry rice in jail.

Its very unbelieveable excuse 'don't know how to crack an egg !! :shock: ' and you must have really seen through all sorts of tricks. The most unforgiveable ones would be the ones to hurt your child :x - i would be most angry when maids are placed in the position of trust and they abused it to cause hurt/harm to innocent children.

I read that too and one of them is due in May! the poor mummy has to sit through 2 wks of jail term in her heavily pregnant state! another one has to compensate $10,000 to the maid ! Really not worth it and must tell ourselves to control regardless what they do to provoke us. :stupid:

Had one who actually tell my ma to beat her if she make us angry, I told ma dun believe her nonsense else kena for nothing

Always remember, if they beat our kids/dependents, do other bad things, it'll all be attributed to work stress and they get off relatively light.

Definitely not worth it. Better to come to ksp and pour our grouses....it may be a joke worth sharing....
