you missed out Tao Nan

Hee, these 8 schools were in my 'prediction' list. That said, I would believe schools with only a few places left like StNick, Temasek, MahaBohdi, CHIJ(TPY) and PCPS (which didnt ballot last year) should still join the balloting list this year after registration closes today.

Compared to the 19 schools which balloted under 2B last year, I think DLS, CHIJ(Katong), HIPS and NHPS may escape balloting for 2B this year. (Note schools like HPPS, NYPS and RGPS didnt ballot under 2B last year).

I'm trying to get my daughter into a popular pri sch that's 3km away from my home. To increase the chances, I'm hoping to register under 2A2 (parents who were ex-students of the school), but as I only attended 2 years of primary school in that school before transferring to another school, do you know if I would still qualify to register under that phase?

From what we understand, even partial stay at a Primary school will give you Phase 2A2 status. Best you call up and check with the school in question.

Yes. U can register under phases 2A2 as long as u can provide your primary school report book. Thi year the phase 2A2 is already over. I'm not sure u are talking about this year or next year.

26 places for ACS Pri filled up by all 26 registrations < 1 km. So it's cut off at 1km.

We will update the tables only after the official statement from MOE stating the schools that will be balloting and for which distance category.

We have posted the interim results (pending final confirmation from MOE) http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2b. MOE should be release the balloting information for Phase 2B sometime today.

Close on the borderline are CHIJ(Katong), HPPS, RGPS, KHS, CHIJ(OLTN), HIPS, Rulang, ACS(Pri), Gongshang and Chongfu.

So assuming no one withdraw or any twins/triplets or schools opening new classes, these 18 schools will undergo balloting under 2B this yr: ATS, ACS(Jr), ACS(Pri), CH, CHIJ(TPY), CHIJ(StNick), Chongfu, KHS, MGS, NCPS, PLMGS, PCPS, Rulang, Southview, StHilda, SJIJ, TNS and MarisStella.

So I get 120 kiasu points (excluding those borderline which I stated above)? LOL..

Anyway, looks like this would be the first time that Rulang, Southview and Maris Stella conduct balloting under 2B.

Those who registered at NYPS, NHPS, Temasek, PHPS and MahaBohdi must be rejoicing now, they just escaped balloting with the number of applicants matching exactly the number of vacancies!!
