My wif ejust called and got the same answer.. Relieved. :celebrate:Hi, latest update from Maris Stella
No balloting for phase 2B this year. It's stated 99 applicants for 98 places. But according to Maris Stella, a pair of twins have registered and they counted as one. Hence no balloting :celebrate: -

I'm also one of the stressed mummy going to register my son under phase 2C nxt week. This is really 1st time that MSH goes into balloting for Phase 2B...according to one of my frend who's a PV, she said the raise in popularity could be due to the circle line which makes it really convenient for the students.
We also thought the circle line was really convenient. The station is just next to MS - no need for the children to cross the road to get to it, so we felt it would be safer. -

Hmm... Pei Chun also reflects same case... twins... so accepted 63 though 62 places... so minus 1 place for Phase 2C...Hi, latest update from Maris Stella

Think LPPL have to do PV or Grassroot next year liao... if not Phase2C confirm tikum luck... -
For my curiosity, what’s rational with the twins? Is it that MOe rquires that twins must be in th same school?

I think the rationale is on parents... not MOE...
convenience for parents... which parent wants to send twins to 2 different sch? Unless twin = 1 boy 1 gal... n u prefer gal to go gal's sch... -
Just called up MSH, the no. of vacancies left for phase 2C is 96. The admin lady is also surprised by the ‘overwhelming’ figures for 2B, she said normally there would be ‘balance’ to carry over to 2C, thus for those who fall under 1-2km, confirm must join the balloting.

Hi hugeclaw... so u enrolling your kid for MSH in Phase2C? Or planning for other schs as Plan B?
Wish u luck.

Daddy
Tks! I like MSH coz it's within walking distance from my home (dun koe why it falls under 1-2km though), think I'll try my luck and go for the balloting. Plan B would be St Gabriel or Yangzheng Pri.

Cannot believe MSHS became to 'hot' this year. With a lower birth rate, no change in intake and for a boy's school that offer only Chinese as mother tongue, cannot imagine that it has recorded the best TUR (70%) in recent years after Phase 2B :x Must be the circle line :stupid: Now I am having doubts whether to apply under Phase 2C
