Since u stay nearby Yew Tee PS, i am sure u not stay within 1KM fr CCKPS. CCKPS is also not near to lot one, further up. For parent who is fail in SV balloting, CCKPS & Concord will be 2 hot schools for them. For us (baby2momma, honeybeel & u), our choice will be Kranji PS only ( i mean for CCK area)
Ya, I know I'm not within 1km from CCKPS...juz wondering where is it because I'm staying CCK for about 8 years and don't even know or past by CCPS. like mountain tortoise.

Going with YT numbers that until today, there is no increase for > 1km. So they also do the same. It is an apple-to-apple comparison. I believe some parents r within 1km of both DLS & YT. But they thot YT got better chance and registered too early. If they ever track the number, they may feel bad now.
Some parent switch to YT because of DLS re-locating, do u think so? -

Mmm, they can still withdraw from YT and apply at DLS...Tri-mum:

Think that was the case for Southview in phase 2B. 53 within 1km balloted for 52 places. But the person can try under 2C again. -
baby2momma:

Haha, but this forum usually not as active in 'normal' times. We got a lot of newbies last few weeks due to the P1 registration exercise. I wonder how many will stay on after it all ends? :?

...I have a question, if the school exceed less than 3 applicants from the available vacancies, do you think they will still proceed with balloting or close one eye and accept all of them :?
Even if demand exceeds supply by HALF a kid, there will be balloting. It is that strict. Regarding the issue of twins, it only applies if the twins' number is the last one to be picked during the ballot, in which case there is no choice for the school but to accept that additional twin in its cohort by enlarging its enrolment, since it cannot possibly bump off anyone who balloted successfully earlier. However, if the twin's number is selected any other time during the ballot, their additional numbers will consume the places of the current ballot. So their single ticket could mean 2 more more places being used. Imagine if triplets or quadrupets are involved! :!: -

But if after including the twins or triplets, we get a cut-off situation, then the school will also have to accomodate the extra students rite?
Btw chief, how to get HALF a kid?
