I am just wondering what school is looking out for in the PV. They have their standard form and a list of areas which we can indicate what we can volunteer, but still got rejected.

I personally find that it is more fair if the school can divulge what is their selection criteria. Maybe they should do balloting as well for those interested in PV.

I also submitted my application to HPPS, note that the closing date is 15 Oct if I am not mistaken.

So Luanee, did HPPS accept your PV application?

Jav, some schools do ballot for PV applicants. Well at least TNS does practise that.

            Hi all,

My gal is born in 2004. I’m interested in enrolling her for Marymount Convent but I live more than 2km away. I just called the school to enrol myself for the PV… Still waiting for the form to be emailed to me…

But I would like to know what are the past yrs chances of getting in the sch thru PV… ?? Can anyone enlightened me?? Is the school pretty hot that I’ve to go thu balloting in Phase 2B?

              Hello autumn82,

PV application dateline for child born in 2004 is already over ( 30June,09).
At MOE website, it's stated parent volunteer to be registered with school not later than 1st July of the year, in order to qualify for phase2B in following year Pri 1 registration.

Yea, I read about that too. That's y I called the school up to ask & confirm again. They replied me that I'm still in time for the PV coz they've yet to start on it yet.. 🙏

It's not necessarily on weekly basis.
As and when there is school need for PV, then will receive phone call / emails.
But try to go for the camps(over-night) during school holidays, one-shot to clock tens of hours.
But mostly guy parent volunteers for camps.
MOE guideline to clock 40hours PV work by 30June,2010.

Jav, no HPPS rejected me too 2 yrs ago. Tankee, they didnt ballot, not that I know of anyway.

Autumn82, chief has complied all the schools past balloting history. FYI, Marymount typically has available places even in phase 2C. Hence it is not really necessary to do PV in order to get a place in the school. Pls read the FAQ thread to get the link.
