why is Anderson so popular in AMK? It is because it has an English name, like CHIJ SNGS; also very popular in AMK.

Is Townsville Primary good? I intend to try for it if the balloting for Kuo Chuan is unsuccessful.

            Hi parents,

Just to share something here. I checked the internet last night and found out that Zhonghua has a new principal this year Mr BUcktha Seela who was formerly principal for Tanjong Katong Pr for 7 years (there was an appeal fr the parents there to extend his appt) so I am sure he must be a good principal and judging by his track record there.

I went down to check on the school today and also hv a chat with him and was very impressed. He is revamping the school both in the areas of sports and academics. His programme not only tailor to the bright but also weaker students. He is the on the ball type of principal as he will sit through the class once a week to review the teachers and he works very closely with the parents. Quite confident the school will grow under his care in a year or two.

So don't judge a school by their popularity. It's good to talk to the principals and get to know them and their approach.

Hi there, really benefitted from all the sharing by the doting parents. Has anyone got any comments on Townville Pri? I will be going for balloting for Anderson next week and would like to be prepared just in case.. Am thinking of either Mayflower or Townville as my 2nd choice... Welcome all comments and thoughts šŸ˜„

Townville has a construction site next door. Building a Pathlight or Northlight sch to become their buddy sch. With the construction, it is going to be dusty and noisy for at least a year. Mayflower's downside is the hilly terrian (good for legs muscle) and insects due to proximity to park.

I have only highlighted the not so good pts for reference, no malice. I am sure there are many good points too.

Wow, you are really familiar with the schools in AMK. Do you have any recommendations?

                        Hi Smiley

My girl got in to Townsville šŸ˜„ Likes their wide range of CCAs, spoke to the principal and teachers, think it should grow under this new principal. Saw his past track records under Woodsgrove was quite impressive. Staff there were helpful, even the security officer. Unlike AMK and Mayflower pri, where the staff were very unfriendly.
