      Hi

I came across this site where you can use the map here to estimate whether your desired school is within 1km - 2km of your residence. If you are within the Blue circle, it means you are within 1km of the school, Red circle means 2km.

Guide only. No guarantees of accuracies.
      cheers!

Hi and welcome! This site was recommended before but like you said, if you are unsure, the best is to pay a bit to get the accurate info from SLA, which the schs will follow.

I have recently encountered an incident regarding home to school distance. As this particular school left a few vacancies. So I have to be very careful to make sure that my house distance falls within 1km for Phase 2 Supp. When I went to the school, the admin girl said my house falls within 1 to 2km. I was disappointed and shocked as my house is just a few blocks away. I managed to find out the statelite distance online and shown that it is still within 1km, even paid for inlis to check the distance! So when I called up the school again the girl still said it is still within 1 to 2km until I told her that I have REAL answer. Finally she checked again and then admit that the MOE's hardcopy is printed wrongly. Parents, please be careful when enrolling your child for this coming Friday, Phase 2C Supp, esp those falls within 1km. Wish me luck too.

I empathy yr frustration. I just dislike it when people follow by the book blindly. Sometime need to use common sense or evidence rather than just dead notes.

Now that she admit her error, your child has real chance to get into the school. Best of luck 🙏

well the school cleark knows, but not the parent volunteers whom will be following blindly !!! Still have to be there to witness and make sure they write it clearly on the form. Else no more seats left.

                  hi wally,

Wish you lot of good luck for the coming registration. If I were you, I will update the principle about the error on MOE's hardcopy. 😄

I find it highly unlikely that MOE's \"hardcopy\" is erroneous. This is not the first time the exercise has been conducted. It is more likely a human error.

it is real personal encounter last week. Printed in the MOE’s hard copy. But only the computer stated that my house distance is within 1km after the clerk checked upon my request. Suggest KSP website can come with all school within 2km website too.

I use my handphone GPS to select my block and then right click to show what’s nearby services. Choose Education and a list of schools will come out in order of proximity …nearest to furthest. Its rather accurate except when yours is zhun zhun 1.0 km then you better call to check as we dont know where it is measured from; from school’s centre or from the gate? A school can be as long as 500m sometimes so it makes a difference where the end/start point is…
