      Hi,

I have 2 girls, one in K1 and another in P1 this year. I have not tried any Chinese Enrichment class as my P1 girl is currently with a one-to-one Chinese tutor. While I am keen to put my girls to try out during the Nov/Dec holidays, I'm looking at some of the Chinese enrichment classes available and not sure which one suits my girls.

      1) Berries
      2) Eduplus
      3) Busy Bees

      Please advise. Thanks
I personally find group setting more suitable for learning chinese. It's the atmosphere and element of 'fun' with other children around that'll help make things more interesting too.

Though my boy is very young now, my intention when he goes to primary school is to let him go for a 'fun' enrichment in group setting & 1-to-1 tuition if his grades are not up to standard.

If they do not have the interest, 1-to-1 tuition will bore them even more!

        Thanks Mrswongtution for sharing.

I was thinking of trying out enrichment classes for both my girls. The feedback I got is Berries is very good for pre-schoolers. What about P1 ? Is Eduplus/Busy Bee or Tien Hsai good for pre-schoolers or Primary level ? Iโ€™m thinking of putting 2 of my girls into one school instead of putting my pre-schooler into Berries and my older girl, P1 into another enrichment school. As I have no experience with any of the schools above, can anyone advise me which centres is good for pre-school and Pri level ?

          Hi JL-NG

You could read through the earlier posts in this thread. There are various reviews of the schools that you have listed. If not mistaken, there were some comments that Berries is good for pre-schoolers and Tien Hsai for primary level. While my DD is in Tien Hsia, she is still a pre-schooler, so I canโ€™t tell you if Tien Hsia is really good for primary school level. So far however, DD has enjoyed going to her lessons at Tien Hsia. Maybe you should consider about the logistics and see which school is nearest to your home?

At the end of the day, it is ok for both your gals to go to different centres, if after your assessment, one is better than the other for each age group. This is especially so if you canโ€™t get the same time slot for both of them.

              Hi,

Anyone from NE area (Kovan / Hougang) can advise good chinese learning center for my current K1 gal ? Thought of sending her for chinese enrichment classes when she turns K2 (6 yrs old). Heard much about Woodland Berries learning center , any commends on Hougang Berries learning center?
My son is 2.5 yrs old now, is it advisable for him to start early?

This whole brain Chinese Children programmes is quite interesting and would like to share with mummies. This rethinking school provide an interactive research approach that

introduces powerful words recognition through memory and thematic exercises.

They posted lots of live videos on the web that
you can see kids learning in the class.

Hi, Iโ€™m templating whether to send my DD (P1 next year) to Xue Er You Language School (run by Dr Liang Wern Fook) or Tien Hsia for Chinese enrichment class at Choa Chu Kang. Iโ€™m not sure which is better, can anyone review if your child is studying at Xue Er You or Tien Hsia for primary school level. Thanks

Hi Tri-mum, we meet again at this thread...heeehhee..

after the 'stressed-up' event of P1 registration, all's quiet
over the other end so I'm having post-event blues....

Anyway, my son's been attending Tien Hsia since he was
4 and he's been there ever since till now into his K2.
I would say teachers at CCK Tien Hsia are pretty professional
and dedicated. My son's K2 teacher has been with him
since he was K1 and hence she sort of know his strength &
weakness. That goes to show also the school's staff turnover
ratio is pretty low - which means teacher is happy with
school management = less change of teacher = kids r happier
                      with familiar teachers.....

I think there is a trial class to start off with so if you are unsure
which centre is better, u cld ask for a trial class.... at least for
                      Tien Hsia..... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi baby2momma, glad we \"meet\"again. Ya, you're right....everyone seems to disappear after the stressful period. ๐Ÿ˜‰ maybe all will be back to the forum after the orientation or when the school starts next year. Btw, didn't see Anna's online leh or maybe she is in other thread?

Actually, my DD is studying at Tien Hsia at CCK currently. But I heard they are good in pre-school but I'm not sure abt the Primary level since no much feedback on Primary level for CCK branch. So I'm trying to gather more information and decide between Xue Er You and Tien Hsia for next year. Think got to decide in 2 mths times because both centre are equally hot and need to make reservation for next year.
