All-boys school for my boys. I think boys learn differently from girls.

I prefer co-ed primary school as I think mixing them when they are young made them aware of the other sex and their characteristics.

All boys primary school can be \"noisy\" and some boys are very \"rough\" as well. Mixing them with girls tend to make them learn and strive more to keep up with the girls' academic abilities. All girls primary school tend to have girls who are very \"pampered\" and \"girlish\" - need to \"rough\" them up a little with the boys and made them be more tolerant to the boys' pranks and naughtiness.

When it comes to secondary schools, prefer same sex schools as this is the teenager period with raging hormones. Better to be able to concentrate on studies and be a little more matured when they mixed in JC level.

Just my personal opinion, so please don't :spank: :nunchuk:   :pokeeye: me!!!

Husband and my ideal was to go for a co-ed school that benefits our 2 kids, a boy and a girl. However, after the circumstances of our P1 registration and choice we've made, the elder boy is going to a boy's PriSch.

That leaves to us for another round of P1 registration anxiety for our gal in 2013.

Thinking of it now, I feel the foundation of the child's learning journey is important and with all boys/all girls primary schools, their core values, school's guidance to the little ones are important, which more or less carve out the character.

As they progress to secondary schools, hormones change, puberty kicks in, children turn teenagers and having to face their sexuality. That's when we will get more worried and what not. Being open in sexuality/relationship education at home, during their puberty is more important then to seclude them to a single sex school to abstain and to focus on studies....... kinda of hard right? Especially with single sex, when they don't have the option of opposite sex, they explore within.... which is pretty true.

thus my choice, pri-same sex, sec-mix
              my $0.02 worth. 🙂
