concern2:
the whole speech she was talking about herself and how good she want or think the nation can be
Personal opinion: Sharon Au talks like someone we are all familiar with - make a guess.raysusan:

Sori
. Really have nothing against Sharon Au, just thought that the moment she started talking, with the animated girlish gestures, they reminded me of someone. Just want to see if anyone share the same observation..

wah, I like this speech by Lim Boon Heng ( not the PAP LBH, a normal citizen speaking at TKL rally yesterday  )
Hi concern2,
you have always been a nice observant contributor, thanks for all your pointers. Now that you mentioned, yalor - same mould - young 'wild chicks' ( swar kueh
) praising themselves.

Big fish:
I came across this article in TOC, which I thought may help clear some of your doubts, but it will help if you have watched the forums too, and you can form your own opinion of each of the candidates (in case you haven't). Here is the link:Thanks for the updates about TCB. LOL, now more confused liao!
Maybe saturday I will need to \"tee kum\"....

I guess her study in Japan must be sponsored / on some scholarship. Now "repay" time. Her ranks in mediacorp will rise very fast.
She intentionally wear the same specs as TT? -
I guess by now, it is clear that my vote is NOT going to TT, not even if I get drunk ! and I dont even drink, LOL.
Mr Tony Tan claimed always that the EP must be independent and above politics. He has a hard case to prove that he is, due to his previous alliances. I am sure he is a nice fella, but he cannot convince many that he will be impartial imho.
in reference to the exhange btw TT and TJS during the FTF recently by TOC.
From Luckytan, Diary of a Singaporean Mind
If you want a president who stands for justice and fairness, you really have to really have to ask yourself whether you can find it in someone who supports and justifies the draconian ISA. No other developed county has it or need such a legislation to ensure peace and security for its people. It was Tony Tan's opportunity to show his independence and he blew it. with just as less as 25.1% of votes TT may win
with the help of our local media he will get there
sad but truth⦠-
Well said. My sentiment exactly.
I know there are quite a number of TJS supporters here (after reading thru all the posts), but everyone here is entitled to her/his own opinion. So don't flame me pls.
Anyway, I'm glad I started this PE thread. Can see alot of diverse, intellectual and interesting sharings and exchanges here. Keep it up, as long as there is no name-calling or character assasination

Hearing a lot and musing some. TJS keep talking about heart - for the pp and for SG. But I really wonder, in all these years, he seem to be rather quiet (other pp stand in as MP or do other types of community/grassroots work), how come suddenly this year then got so much heart? From the rally, it was said he only joined politics this year after his mum passed away.
It's easy to say i will donate how much; but action leh? Is he going to show his donation receipt to the whole world?
I respect this guy for standing out, and for having come so far despite his humble beginnings.
Respect is one thing. For MY president, I want someone who is balanced and steady, I want someone to unify SG. I don't need him to rock the boat, but I want him to stand out and say when something is not correct. I think I see all this in another one and that's where my vote is going. -
hi angelight,
sorie, not sure if I character-assasinated anyone or called anyone names. Thought I was just sharing how I felt. Getting a bit confused liao.
