:welcome: szac!Hi! Everyone I am a newbie just saw all your posting and feel everyone is experiencing the same stress for PSLE... I have 2 children , one PSLE another O level.. my stress is double for this year.... my younger one is weak in maths and after the paper he does not want to talk about at all... it's difficult for me to check with him what are the questions as he does not want to utter a word... I guess he feels real stress inside him... hence I do not want to burden him and in fact I told him there will be no more such problem sums as you go into secondary... don't worry just do better for the other 2 papers chinese and science....
As far as I know, some kids did very well in their PSLE but do not do well in secondary, reason they just want to score at that time... when they reach secondary they suddenly feel free can relax hence they drop during sec 1 and sec 2... especially sec 2 streaming....my older boy's some classmates score 240 drop normal during sec 2 and sec 3.... hence it's very important they that do real learning instead of scoring just for exam , they can remember better....
I have not much problem with my older child but my younger one is more sensitive hence I guess kids of this batch we parents have to spend more time to coach them...
And Sama-Sama Boat We Ride in this Year!
Just Like U, even though we got 2 kids taking exam this year,
As Long as we know our Kids, and Manage our Expectations, (Not every Kid is in Top Class in Sch ....), and be Supportive to them, Our little Ones shd be Fine

Gd morning Parents, any gd science tutor or tuition agency for science cause I need to start preparing my DS PSLE next year. Any gd recommendation ?
For good Science tuition centre, you can try Vitamindz Science, School of Primary Science.
They emphasise on real experiments, a lot of visuals. My ds went for the PSLE preparatory class in June and was enriched by the teaching. -

Oh! good to hear that! Yes! We will be supportive throughout.... just be alert of what they do... especially when they turn teens.... they will be very curious when they go into secondary, alot of things....hence we need to stay a lookout...

@Evalim : please do NOT feel discouraged. The fact that he's from SAP sch may mean that the standard in the school is higher. Your child may surprise you and do better than expected. Just to Share with U.
My Fren's dd is in the Last Class of a SAP Sch Last year.
However She Managed to score good enough to Qualify her for NA last year.
So Support your Kid, and Encourage him / her to Do her Best.
As Long as both of U R Realistic in your Expectation, he shd be fine.

My ds just called me !! He said that the tiltle of the compo is \" ε₯ε₯or εΌεΌδΈθ§δΊ\" i m not very sure .he said that he could write it very well as his tutor just taught him the exactly the same topic .omg !!! I m so happy
