Went for my P4 DS2's meet the parents session and learned something new.


For students who don't do HCL in PSLE, they can opt for HCL in secondary 1 if

1) They are in the top 10% of their PSLE cohort
or

2) They are in the top 11-30% of their PSLE cohort with an A* for Chinese and an A for English.

You didn't know arh? That's why it's not necessari to do HCL in PSLE if you don't have the intention of using the bonus points to get into an SAP school. You can always take up HCL in secondary school without having done it in primary school. Of course you suffer a bit lah.

Hi Leanne, is your ds's teacher going to call the top student in his sch or the top student of his class? I thought teachers are strictly not allowed to reveal any details at all before the clock strikes 12.

oh....din know that teachers are not allowed to reveal info before 12.
But i heard one of my gal ' s P6 classmate's mummy called the FT and asked abt the class results....
and she revealed my gal 's results......( i din even know that we could call to ask).

Have three schools that came to our school for a brief talk of their schools.

1) Outram
2) Crescent
3) Beatty
Maybe will have Chung Cheng High School but due to the less response, it may be cancelled.

Aiya still will be excited for the result mah .... Today attended the p6 graduation ceremony ... The p said she does not expect v outstanding scorer from the school, unlike last yr .. :roll: :roll: ... Wonder if she knew the results already :scratchhead:

Can understand the excitment & anxiety while waiting for the result even though none of my nieces or nephews are involved this time round.
