The Central Hong Kong Cafe has this selection of "lok lok" which I absolutely adore!! itβs really hard to find lok lok in Singapore, and so this one at Central is really a gem! Not exactly cheap stuff though, but kinda alright, itβs $2 per stick or $5.50 for 3 sticks. my dh and i whopped up 9 sticks easily muahhahha

We go for the set lunch if DH is in a hurry. If not, the calamari, Spanish omelette and paella valencia.
Until we find a better Spanish restaurant, we are sticking to this due to convenience. I find that unlike Italian, it's very difficult to find a really good Spanish restaurant. -

Lok lok is something like Chinese steamboat but instead of dipping the food into stock, you dip it into boiling water, they usually have a range of very nice sauces like ginger sauce, sweet sauce etc and you can dip the prawns etc into it. You can find a lot of lok lok stalls in Penang. There are a few in JB, but the JB ones are very unhealthy, you dip the food into oil that has been used many times. I have not tried the one at vivo but the ones in Penang are very good.
