        hihi

        Need some help.
Can someone recommend a good (n cheap 😉 ), lighweight tripod for compact camera?
        Is the Gorillapod any good?
        TIA

Have not used it but I think it is functional if you need to place your compact cam in odd places and then do a timer shot... Planning on visiting some foresty places and then take self-timer shots? lol

lol....you are making my imagination runs wild.
no, im not so adventurous la, just asking 'cos it looks interesting.
i think i'll just stick with the conventional 3-legged one.

I thot prob not me cos I am not photogenic so you hardly find me in shots... Most times I will be behind the cam taking the shot so no need to :moneyflies:

Was at Challenger earlier today and saw that they had a Nikon 10.1M pixel cam on offer at $99. Rather than buying game cartridges or computer gadgets for DS to play more games with.. Decided to get the cam for his Christmas... Hopefully he will start to have an interest in photography and also to train his eye for details and beauty 🆒

That's a good and practical gift.

We got a simple compact camera for dd1 for her Christmas present 2 years ago and now she knows more about ISOs than I do. In fact, I was wondering what the International Organisation of Standardization (ISO) has got to do with phototaking   Blur me, as usual 😉

I was hoping that perhaps he can follow me when I do my walkabouts to do my shoots... But knowing DS1, he was prob give me an earful from his complaining abt walking too much, too hot, etc...

In any case, thot it would be a more practical gift than another wii game CD

You ...blur??? .... Hmmmm :? ... Think u r too humble hahah lol

why not just join school clubs and start off from there? i think professional classes should start when they are old enough to learn, digest and apply the skills with good equipment. only then can they really enjoy the art of photography, IMHO, that is. 🙂

My twins are just approaching 3 next yr. I share with them regularly the pictures I captured during my photoshoot outing and they are very fascinated by it. I’m just exposing them and given them 2 old point-n-shot digi cam to play around. What amazes me is their ability to even find the camera function on my IPhone and taken some pictures of their own and happily showing them off to me! IMHO, arousing their interest is more important to me at this stage and it is also a fun time together for bonding n learning as well for all of us.
