We left Singapore immediately after the PSLE and have been doing everything by proxy or online. I'm waiting to get in touch with the form teacher to see what sort of support and info we can get while away so my daughter won't have too much to catch up when she gets back. She's looking forward to being in RGS. And yes, she's proved quite adaptable so far.
I hope you get the info and support you need. I don't think it'll be a problem for your dd when she comes back. Meanwhile, you can get your dose of all things Singaporean here at KSP. πŸ™‚

Can parents who attend the cca orientation on day 1 care to share what they learn or give their views / comments n update those parents like myself n orange juice who can't be here, so that we won't miss too much?

There are many from 112 too. Go banana! Must give them warm welcome.
Yes sir! Haha πŸ˜‰ ORIENTATION IS TOMORROW Make sure everyone gets to school and goes to the hall by 7.10 am. There should be student leaders positioned in the foyer to direct you, and the class I/Cs will be standing in the hall amongst all the confused Year Ones holding up placards. Just go to them, don't attempt to pass yourself off as being from 101 when you're from 102, I can assure you it won't work haha. WELCOME TO RGS!! Yay so excited, I hope you and your DDs are excited too!

hi hipomum, DD is in 107, none of her friends are posted in the same class 😞

                      how about your DD ?
My DD is in 101, n yes none of her schoolmates in the same class:(
one of dd's good friend is in 101...dont worry too much, there will be ample opportunities for them to make friends. Our DDs are not alone, some RGS moms have PM me to say that their DDs are alone in their new class.
Yeah good that way 2 so that they can mix around n not be anti social.
yes, the objective is to distribute them across 101to 113 to make new friends . Rather old classmates (NYP, RPGS or TaoNan ...etc )clustered together .. it is better for developing new friendships….heard that 101 (has Academic DSAed) students , good in Maths or other Academic subjects...
