      If you re booked on Thai airways, think theY allow you to defer till later date. That s good gesture fr airline

        just cancelled my trip from 23-27th to bkk. afraid of the airborne blahblah thats on going. gg to hk instead. those with kids there, any issues with food? super kiasu + kiasi :thankyou:

                I m thinking of going too but I hear that the people do not have access to clean water yet. So the food operators are using unknown source of water for cooking. This is quite worrying.

                      for van rentals - you can just get the hotel concierge to call for you.

                      if you rent an SUV it will cost you around 2,500 Baht / day. If you need a SUV with driver it will cost you about 3,200 Baht / day. So, if you’re looking for a cheaper van then it should be relatively cheaper. They give discount rates when you book for more than a week.

                        oh - the reason why i say book through the concierge is because they can help you negotiate with the Thais. or at least enquire.


                        my husband had this crazy idea of driving around thailand while we were there, but it wasn’t the car cost that intimidated me… it was the traffic. i told him it was better to just take a taxi and not be too adventurous.
