Something like 'cannot compare'..
Ms Tay, or Intermezzo, am I right?
Have a feeling, the words I use are wrong..
Or should it be 望尘墨己?

I think it should be 望尘莫及. Now, too long never use chinese characters, must come online to 切磋切磋.

Pen, you are right! Your PEN really has lots of ink!!!
Wow, 你真人不露相,我佩服得无体投地!
Firefly, don't make me  lei. My pen not used for a long time, ink already dried up. Sometimes want to use certain words also can't write or identify the word :slapshead: . Try sista Brenda and Ms Tay, they are the Chinese experts! 😉

Yes, there's no change in policy - DS is entertaining the thought of not taking HCL in year 5 and 6 and that's what pushes him on --- although he doesn't like to read Chinese papers, he is now reading Lian He Zao Bao almost everyday, learning words he don't know and find the meanings. But he's just started since Feb this year. So I'll give him some time to improve. By end of the year, if he still doesn't show results, then will ask him to switch to express CL (kuai jie hua wen). But I certainly pray and hope his efforts will pay off. Thanks for your adivce 🙂
He's so motivated and good boy. His hard work will pay off. 😄

it should be 五体投地, five body parts, not no body

五体投地 【拼音】:wǔ tǐ tóu dì 【解释】:两手、两膝和头一起着地。是佛教一种最恭敬的行礼仪式。比喻佩服到了极点。【出自】:唐·玄奘…

Hi

I heard many of the boys did not get their choices on the gap semester courses?

What will be the popular international courses? The journey to the silk road? or the Service Learning Trip to Bhutan?

Oops! Thot VK2010 was 'eat potatoes' one... 😉
ok, this is what you should do

buy 4 Russet potatoes

peel off the skin, cut longitudinally in wedge form

lay a layer of alum foil on baking tray, spread a thin layer of olive oil

spread out the potato wedges and sprinkle some sea salt on it, sprinkle some olive oil over it, and sprinkle some basil leaves over it

set oven temp to 200 ~ 220 C, bake using circulating mode, for about 40 minutes, or longer up to desired browning

one potato is enough for one person.

serve with baked salmon / fried sole fish

ok, let's eat potato
