Got the form for P1 registration form from DS...my DD is going to register under Phase 1......wat a breeze this year!....no more emotional rollercoaster or heart-attacks, no more moving house, no more sleepless nites... :imcool: By the way...DD also qualify for Phase 2A for St Nicks...but DD wants to be in same sch with kor kor...and my whole family wants both of them in the same sch..so i lose my vote.

You should send your dd to St Nicks mah. Then you can do experiment on whether the type of sch matters for PSLE, assuming all other variables stay the same. 😉

My son hopes to attend all boys sec school. So I encouraged him to work very hard.
Why your keep saying all boys sec sch must study hard leh? I don't understand. :siam:

Secondly, I never thought him handsome leh. He knows that too. He told the girls (again) that all my other ex bfs are more hamsome than him... and he added that prolly that's all they had cause till today most of them are still losers. Something like he has the last laugh liddat la.
C'mon, if your dh is not handsome, then what am I? Oil barrel?

Ok ok, mabbe your ex are all like Korean actors calibre. :imanangel:

        Jennifer:

Hubby's 1st sister is going to deliver in 2 weeks time but weight of baby < 2kg.

My brother's wife also had a baby when she was past 40 years old. The baby also weighed < 2kg and had to stay in the ICU for many days, then in the hospital for almost a mth before can discharge.

During my prime years, both of boys weighed only 2.5 kg. I cant imagine if I were to hv a 3rd one, how light it would be :nailbite:

Jennifer, do you mean to say that the older we are... we are prone to having smaller/lighter kids? 2.5kg is really small.

I have experience with NICU with my 2.4kg DD1. She was early by like 3 weeks, extremely jaundiced, extremely sickly. Now she has just recovered from her over-weight status.

I dunno if this is a coincidence, but a friend of MIL also had her last child when she was in her 40s, the baby was also very small.

I believe genes play a part too. Small build parents are more likely to hv small build children. Unlikely to hv a pair of small build parents having a big bone child.

One very important variable changed - one a ds, the other a dd!! so since that's changed, you must keep the \"school\" variable constant ie, send to same school.
My dd, ds1 and ds2 all in PH but no need to go already see vast difference.... girl is the most difficult to manage, lucky I only have one to 'enjoy'...

            FQW:
Your dh also prefers one boy-one gal? If I have a gal, then like JoeeYee, I can do experiment mah. Assuming they don't change P1 registration rules, I can then see for myself if environment (same sch, same tuition, same parental involvement) and genes are the same, whether gender plays a part in the outcome of a child success ornot.

Even if same gender, character can also be vastly different and affect the outcome. Difficult to get twins to do experiment on.
            FQW:
But then, if I have a dd, chances are when she grows up, I would think no man on Earth will be good enough to marry her. And then I will start to be stressed. Does that make sense to you?

Funny thing is for son, I don't have such ridiculous thoughts. :siao:
Set a spec for your future sil and make it known to your dd. I informed mine of my minimum requirement already and she went :siao:
My dad used to chit-chat with any boy who dared to call me, obviously fishing for family information. He asked so many questions (in a too friendly manner) that only the really interested ones or innocent ones will persist. I had to create a special ringing code for my male classmates to get me to standby phone.

              Hi FQW,

Whatever school he wants to go, he has to work hard lor…cut off for COP at those all boys’ schools (those he hopes to go) are at 240 (maybe higher). Kids from Pei Hwa have no affiliation. That’s why I tell him to work very hard.

He is playful but easier to handle than my daughter. Putting up with her moods & whiny stuff is a headache. I can tell my son to get an exercise done. If done well and minimal carelessness, he can play ipad games for 1/2 hour. But if I tell my daughter to do anything, she will start complaining.

Thank your dad's QC, now you have a tall, dark, handsome father for your kids.

:scratchhead: Pei Hwa parents MIA ?

It's unlike this thread to be so quiet. Busy with SA1 preparation ???
Another day of school tomorrow and we get to enjoy a long weekend :rahrah:

Jennifer, did your older boy stay at home to revise after prelims until PSLE ?? I understand it's mainly getting past year papers done everyday. Is that so ? If that's the case, I am thinking of letting him stay home with tutors instead.
