My girl was with TAS for a term and i withdrew her aft a term. Some personal view of the centre:

I like the worksheets and the weekly spelling given to student and teacher is friendly and patience too.

I withdrew her cos i found that the class size was too big. There were about 15 of them in a class and room was so cramped. I feel that it is difficult to focus on indiv’s needs with such a class size and my girl felt so unconfortable to just get off from her chair.

Second, it was so difficult to get someone on the phone. Whenever i called, it was either unavailable or number got cut off and there was no return call at all.

TAS started from a very small scale and is getting more popular cos of good feedback/reviews from parents but i kinda feel that the admin staff are getting more arrogant when answering the phone.

In any case, with all these, i am reluctant to continue her at TAS. Anyone shares the same sentiments?

My son been with them for 2nd year now. Actually the admin stuff quite alright, I always see she is very friendly with the small kids waiting for their big bro/sis to finish classes.

Class size is big I agree. Not too happy about that, but so far DS is still happy in class and he doesn’t quite care about class size. He doesn’t have school tests but I think he is doing fine.

Both my kids have been with TAS for 2 years, oldest one is no longer with them as he is in secondary one and we are trying to wean him off tuition. I think the big class size can be an issue but if the child can connect with the teacher and understand what is being taught, that for me is more important. My kids have been in centres with small class sizes but did not benefit much as the syllabus was not as structured and teachers not as dedicated.

I have known the TAS admin staff from the time when they were small till now and I find that they are still friendly and personal. Getting them on the phone can be a problem, that probably is due to them having more calls so I sms them or email them. They are prompt in replying to emails.

But if you feel your child prefers a small class size than it is better to find a centre that has that.

Ya. I also feel that the class size too big. I withdrew my girl after one year with them. But I do agree that they materials are good. May be it is just that my DD cannot benefit from such a big class size.

My sister wants to enroll her son for their p6 classes but so far most of the classes he can make it are full. When is this class held?

                        Hi TAS,

I am a parent with children at TAS but I have friends who are not in TAS and they would
like to buy the vol 2. However they cannot make it on Sunday, some of them have church etc.
Is it possible to have the launch on another day as well? However, i perfectly understand if it is not possible as you are selling it at Popular. But just would like to know cos it would help them prepare their kids for SA1 too. Or possible for me to buy for them on another day beside sunday? I can come down on monday to get.
