Among the three types of food, soup, biscuit and hamburger, identify the best possible match of these three types of food to Food A, B and C.

Ans given was A is hamburger, B is biscuit and C is soup. Not sure why, can anyone enlighten us?
Digestion is the breaking down of food into simpler substances so that it can be absorbed. Therefore, it is not true that food in liquid form (soup) will definitely be digested quicker than food in solid form. It is the type of soup that dictates the speed that it can be digested. For example, soup that is rich in curry, coconut milk, oil ... is very difficult to digest. If we drink too much chilli soup from those china steamboat, we might find the chilli oil appearing in our stool.

However, the question did not specify the type of soup so it is not fair to say that the soup will take a longer time to digest than the hamburger.

        ILOVESCIENCE:
        Everybody,

There is a question: What is fertilisation?
1)It is a fusion of male and female sex cells.
2)It is a union of male and female sex cells.
3)It is the transfer of pollen grains.
4)It is the process of attracting insects for pollination.

The question is, what is the difference between fusion and union?

        Thanks!
        ILOVESCIENCE
When fertilisation occurs, the nucleus of the male cell will join up with the nucleus of the female cell to become one single nucleus. So I guess fusion would mean combining 2 parts to become one entity whereby the original parts can no longer be differentiated or distinguished. On the other hand, maybe union means joining 2 parts together but we are still able to distinguish the original parts inside the new combined form.

            Need help on this question…

which of the following pairs of traits are both inherited traits ?
            A. height & dimples
            B. skin colour & hair style
            C. earlobe and dye hair colour
            D. eye colour & fingerprint pattern

            (1). A only
            (2). A & B only
            (3). A & D only
            (4). B & D only

My kid said the correct answer is 1 (A only) cos fingerprint pattern is not.
But the answer given in the worksheet is 3 (A & D only), the explanation is "fingerprint pattern are inherited but the individual fingerprint is not".

            Thanks!

I saw this question in the MGS paper that I did. And the answer is weird.

Q:Mrs Teo poured two identical beakers filled with the same amount of water into an empty, bigger container. The temperature of water in both beakers were 70 degrees Celsius. She then asked the class to predict the temperature of the water in the bigger container after mixing them. Below are some of the responses.

Student A: The temperature of the water will be much lower than 70 degrees Celsius.

Student B: The temperature of the water will be higher than 70 degrees Celsius.

Student C:The temperature of the water will be around 70 degrees Celsius.

Student 😧 The temperature of the water will be higher than 70 degrees Celsius but lower than 80 degrees Celsius.

Which of the students are correct?
                (1)A only
                (2)B only
                (3)C only
                (4)B and D only

Isn't the answer 3? The answer sheet said it was 4 :whut: . Weird.
