      Need help on this question…

which of the following pairs of traits are both inherited traits ?
      A. height & dimples
      B. skin colour & hair style
      C. earlobe and dye hair colour
      D. eye colour & fingerprint pattern

      (1). A only
      (2). A & B only
      (3). A & D only
      (4). B & D only

My kid said the correct answer is 1 (A only) cos fingerprint pattern is not.
But the answer given in the worksheet is 3 (A & D only), the explanation is "fingerprint pattern are inherited but the individual fingerprint is not".

      Thanks!

I saw this question in the MGS paper that I did. And the answer is weird.

Q:Mrs Teo poured two identical beakers filled with the same amount of water into an empty, bigger container. The temperature of water in both beakers were 70 degrees Celsius. She then asked the class to predict the temperature of the water in the bigger container after mixing them. Below are some of the responses.

Student A: The temperature of the water will be much lower than 70 degrees Celsius.

Student B: The temperature of the water will be higher than 70 degrees Celsius.

Student C:The temperature of the water will be around 70 degrees Celsius.

Student 😧 The temperature of the water will be higher than 70 degrees Celsius but lower than 80 degrees Celsius.

Which of the students are correct?
          (1)A only
          (2)B only
          (3)C only
          (4)B and D only

Isn't the answer 3? The answer sheet said it was 4 :whut: . Weird.

if you pour it teh tarek style, and do it a few times, it could be (A) 🙂

Under the topic of 'Light' and shadow, normally if the torchlight is brought closer to the object, the shadow will be bigger right? What if the object is a card with a hole in it - like the one below.

                    http://i50.tinypic.com/2jaxie.jpg\">

Question : What happen to the shadow if the torch is brought nearer to the card? Answer key : the shadow becomes darker.

Is the answer correct and what is the explanation?

The answer is surely wrong! What happens to the shadow, it eithers becomes bigger or smaller. I have tried this experiment just now, the shadow becomes bigger, you’re correct.

Yeah, I just did the experiment. But the shadow in this case is the surrounding rectangular shape with the triangular light in the centre. Thanks....
