The blame has to lie with the doctor. He obviously didn’t carry out the medically properly.

My maid told me that when she went for her medical a few weeks ago there was a locum doctor and although he did the pregnancy test, he didn’t check her stomach which they are supposed to do to check for later stage pregnancies that can’t be detected by a test. She asked the maid who went in before her and she said that he didn’t do it for her either.

About 3 weeks now with my maid. So far so good except for the window shock :xedfingers:

A better cook than me.....we practically finished almost all the food every nite. :rahrah:

Quick and independent but sometimes a bit if communications breakdown.

Been praying nearly every nite.....Thank God for His Blessings!

May I ask how many of you here allow your maid to use the washing machine for her own clothes?

Initially, when they first start, they will hand wash all their clothes. Usually after some weeks when they have settled down, I will suggest to them to use the washing machine.

I have always allowed them the choice of using the washing machine or hand-washing. No need to waste time handwashing unless they need to!

My previous maid used to hand wash her own clothes of her own accord. When this new one came, I told her to handwash her own clothes; she can use the machine for her sheets and big items.

However, I know that she has been using the machine in my absence to do her own laundry, including her undies. She washes only a few items at a time.

I would have let her use the machine after a while, but I take issue with the fact that she has disobeyed my instructions and wasting resources by washing her own few pieces in one cycle.

My Neighbour makes her helper handwash all the laundry in the family except for the bed linen. So in comparison, there are worse practices elsewhere.

Would you do anything abt this ‘disobedience’?
