Hi,
I have a question with Ph2B and Ph2C.
Say, I have chosen school A (target) for Ph2C and school B (standby) for Ph2B. If I get into my school B first in Ph2B but wish to apply for school A in Ph2C, must I withdraw from school B first before registering for school A in Ph2C or can I wait for the results out of school A in Ph2C before withdrawing from school B?
Thanks. -
Hi nite
You will need to withdraw from Ph2B first before you can apply for Ph2C.
Supposing you are unsuccessful in Ph2C, you could not get back your place in Ph2B. You will need to then get a place in Ph2C Supp.

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
Are you saying I need to go back to school B (standby), withdraw and register for school A (target) in Ph2C. If unsuccessful, I need to apply for school B under Ph2C Supp if I want to go back there.
1) By then, my reserved place might be released for Ph2C in school B, right?
2) BTW, curious, how does school A know I already got a place in school B under Ph2B and vice versa?
Thanksdorisp:

nite:
the MOE registration portal is a centralised system. Sch A cannot input your info into computer system as the system has already captured your registration details in sch B which u registered earlier.Hi,

Not \"might\". Any leftover places in P2B will be added to P2C. -
Hi ,
writting this msg with total disappointment , that my parent volunteering application for 2007 born with Raffles girls primaary school has been rejected. We both me and my husband are well qualified, i cant understand on which damn basis do they even select the application for PV.
I have written an email to David Chew the Admin manager of PV and the chair person but got no reply , went to the school and they are away .
Really dont know what to do and ultimately what for them they will just say sorry and i dont have a chance also to try...

Parent volunteering is not meant only for well qualified parents. The school has full rights to select whom they want.

There are many well-qualified parents who applied and not selected in the popular schools. Thus, don't take it to heart.Hi ,

I knew of an 'O' level holder who was selected for PV as he was able to provide services that most parents can't provide, not even Jim Rogers IMPO. Most importantly, he continues his services even after his child got into the school. This is his 4th yr of service. I salute him and I fully understand why he was selected. Am also glad that the school truly looks at the services that the parents can provide, as well as their sincerity, not solely based on their qualifications and financial status.
You may be in demand if you can provide medical, IT services, etc. Other than that, if you are referring to mentoring, traffic wardens, etc, most parents can do the tasks. You need to be able to provide niche services that the school requires.
