Sorry to butt in.... but I would recommend CASCO sensational writing for compo if anyone is looking for a good compo book .They have a lot of good phrases and I used them last year for English and got a A*.

SA revision was just over now moving forward to PSLE revision. Sigh... no holidays this month except for just 2 days break only :stompfeet: .
Yes, that's how I feel. It seems not too long ago for CA, followed by SA and now this June is nothing but revision and more work. I give my son a break but I don't feel relaxed. The next 3 months is so short but yet so draggy. Tutors are stressed bcos they want to complete syllabus before new school term starts. -
I found my DS regressing. He was getting simple things wrong for Math as well English. And this was playing havoc with his self esteem. Maybe it was fatigue. As a teacher, I should have known better but I was in panic mode for a while
.So I have lifted my foot from the accelerator. I will go full speed ahead when the 10 week countdown begins -

Would you consider that as a sign / symptoms of burn-out ? Am quite worried for my dd too. Everyday study. Tried to plan in exercise and play for her to relax and take her mind off for a while .

Same here...very afraid he will get burnt out, so have to slot in play time to chill out. Or else candle burning both ends will be disastrous. Forget about GSS....no mood for that until Oct 3. -
I think I am getting more white hair this year ! :nailbite:

I think when they regress, it's an indication of approaching burn-out. For eg my DS marks used to be in the high 80s and 90s for all subjects and suddenly in SA1 he had low 80s for all except Science which he did well in. I don't teach at the primary level but to me if your effort is the same or more but your results are slipping, fatigue has set in. My DS told me that he blanked out during Math... Very worrying sign indeedPSLE 2012:

Today I really felt that I’m the one getting burnt out. Oh god pas give us the strength and patience for another 3 more months to get going. I just want the PSLE to be over asap. Really feel that it’s too draggy maybe we got no holidays this June. Sob sob…nevermind we will enjoy for 3 months.

Me too feel that I am the one burnt out!
I have fallen sick more times these last six months than the last six years put together.
I also need strength! 3+ months to count down!
