List of Pri Schools Do Not Accept PV Application

Where you live is only important if the sch selects PVs based on that, and also if there is balloting for Phase 2B. To check balloting history, look for the Jurong thread for Rulang and Bt Batok thread for PEPS. The balloting history is on the first page on each thread. Look for the links.Hi RRmummy,
thanks for the reply. Its sure encouraging:) Will call soon to check up.
Btw. When you suggest me to try P2B, do u presume that I am located within <1km? In fact, I am located slightly more than 1km and what is my chance if I apply with another address which is <1km from the school, who is not my caregiver but my brother? Will the school categorise me under P2B?
As for the Princess Elizabeth Primary (BB) and Jurong Primary, is PEP a Christian school? What is my chance again if my boy is now at Pandan Calvary kindergarten? Wonder too If I stand better chance if I apply Jurong Pri using my parents’ address (caregiver of my boy) at Jurong East Blk 258?
Another thought is can I contribute a small token to the school? How do we know if they want to accept and how much?
Aiyo.. keksim.. going insane
thks
I have never heard of MOE allowing a child to be registered based on child's uncle's address, unless both parents have already passed on or they work and live overseas, and they made the uncle the legal guardian.
PEPS is not a Christian sch. As far as I know, both schs have no affiliations with any kindys or organisations.
If you want to use child's grandparents' address, I think you must go to MOE and make a statutory declaration with legal proof that your child is really under your parents' care. If successful, your parents' address will be \"re-classified\". Example, if your parents live within 1km of the sch, they will now be classified under the 1-2km range. This is MOE's rule, cannot change.
For PEPS, I know that, without fail so far, balloting has always been conducted for those living within 1km of the sch. Can't remember for which Phase though. Not sure for Rulang.
As for \"donations\", many schs are now walking the \"straight path\" so they will not accept.
Good luck!
P.S. Like what RRMummy said, do read up first cos I think you will find your answers already at a thread somewhere. -

to add, there is no primary school in singapore that gives priority to 'affiliated' kindergartens. -
Hi Hot!
Before you post further questions on home addresses, or contemplate using certain relatives' addresses to give your child an edge in the P1 registration, please do read up this http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=410. I believe the questions you raised in your last posts were already answered in this thread. -
Thanks Mummies for the valuable inputs, really appreciated

This website is so informative and too overwhelming. I am worried I might not able to finish the reading and missed out important information.
Anyway, will try to digest as much as I could, else will post Qs to ask mummies here again.
One more question, why do some of my friend whose child to be enrolled on 2011, has already started PV at St Anthony Pri a year ago and yet some schools eg. Rulang said PV too early? How do I know or should I just call to check my preferred choice of school when to enroll / sign up for PV? I have a feeling Rulang will tell me the same thing again. Will the school entertain walk in without appointment to meet the principal? Or should I write to the school seeking for appointment? What is the best option to get to see the principal?
Thanks & regards -

one of my student's mummy also interested in Rulang as PV. She also told me that she need to wait until ne4xt yearso be patient. Her son was 2005 child also. -
There is NO affiliation between kindergartens and primary schools.
I wrote in to the school of choice (Pei Hwa) in January (the year when my son turned 4). Earlier than that, the school admin told me it's too early...then my application got turned down with a letter from the school
Was prepared to go under Phase 2C since we stay within 1km. In the end, school called to ask if we still wanted to be PV. That was how son eventually got into Pei Hwa. -
I remember a child from my kids’ kindergarten tat Princess Elizabeth does take in PV…maybe the school doesn’t take in many…no harm asking or sending in email.

i emailed Princess E last year. the email reply i had is that they do not accept PV anymore.
in any case, i do believe that some schools who said they do not accept PV still do make exceptions, if they really do need that special service, have fate with the kids or maybe connections? we'll never know.....until we try. -
Hi all, I want to check if it is true that MGS does not accept PV?
