Hi, ATPS is 19 for 2b and 19 for 2c, is there anyway to check the number of applicant for 2b? Thanks
Phase 2b not even started ......
Two unknown variable GRL and SHHK even PV data hard to find out.

I was angry why din my parents send me to popular sch when I was young since there wasn't much competition 30 to 40 years ago. If not, my children will be admitted straight away through phase 2A, my grandchildren will have no worries to go in and also my great grand children and great great grand...there will be no stress for the next generation.
I will not blame them as their life were much tougher than us. The men were usually the sole breadwinner needing to work long hours to serve the bread and butter issue. No luxury to have maids and the women had to stay home looking after the kids. That time, also no mrt or good transport system. So whichever school is nearest they go for it lor. -
Good luck to all patents for 2b/2c. May u get in to the school of your choice.

Looks like there is no hope for Fairfield as I stay 1-2km.
Would be too risky as only 31 places for P2B and 31 places for P2C.
Do u think it worth the risk? -
GOOD LUCK to all parents and 2006 kiddies under phase 2B and 2C. Hope u get in to the school of your choice. :xedfingers:

Can anyone give me some guidance on what is a good back up plan?
I stay within 1km to Henry Park and 1-2km to Fairfield Methodist, under the Phase 2b GRL, I can opt for schools in Tanjong Pagar GRC or Holland Bukit Timah GRC
Initial plan was HPPS since I am within 1km under Phase 2b and even Phase 2c, but there are only 12 slots left!!!.. What is a good back up plan? HELP!!! -
Fortunately for me that my DH was ex-student of 2 top schools so we made a choice and registered under 2A2. However, we would definitely prefer that school just opposite our house but it needs balloting. Looking at the situation now, i can’t possibly withdraw from 2A2. The school is so near yet so far!

Although I do not understand how you can choose from 2 GRCs and I take it you are SC, here's my 2 cents worth.
From the vacancies left from both schools, I think there will be balloting. For Fairfield, you might not have the chance for balloting due to your home to school distance but you could double-chk with school towards the end of day 1 of P2B.
Now the qn to ask is do you want to take part in balloting. Some don't want and some feel that have chance to ballot means still have a chance and will go for it. Balloting is about luck, the way I see.
If you want a sure thing, then can see if there are other schools under Phase 2B that meet your selection criteria.
If you still wish to go for balloting then chk what are the schools in phase 2C you can register should there be a need.
In phase 2C it's again about the need to ballot or not. If need to ballot, then you will need to research abt schools that might have vacancies in phase 2C supp.
All the best. -

It is hard to believe the situation but I understand what you mean by so far yet so near...ideally, the school opp is most convenient, yet you can't register your child there bcos of the balloting...so stay with your 2A2 choice.
Wanted to register my daughter in IJ, but the nearby IJ (5 min drive away) is not under 'umbrella group of IJ schools' so I do not enjoy phase 2A2. So, it's IJ TP for her. Ok lah...good to feel sense of belonging when I do PV occasionally.
