Practically any fruit is ok except for the acidic ones like pineapples, lemons, grapefruit and mandarin oranges (too heaty).

My gal loves her fruit and her faves are honeydew, papaya, soft packham pear, grapes, strawberries, guava, mango and dragonfruit. She also likes durian and jackfruit but I give sparingly.

Give a variety and limit the ones containing beta-carotene (orange/yellow coloured fruits eg. papaya, mango, rockmelon) as consuming too much can cause the skin to become yellowish. My gal had that coz she was into a papaya fetish and we had to stop giving her papaya for >3 months to allow the carotene to leave the system.

BTW, the best fruit in terms of nutrients is the avocado (but it is not very sweet and is an acquired taste). Some also say the kiwi fruit is very good.

        Berries are good…contain antioxidant.

Kiwi contains lots of vitamin C…we usually eat gold one.
Grapes contain high level of sugar, so hold back.
Banana is good, but get the small type as del monte is cooling.
        Mango is heaty.
Young children can eat apple. I used to scrape apple when my kids were babies.

I like to make fruit salad (a bowl with 2-4 types of fruit) instead of serving just one type of fruit per serving. This way, she won’t eat too much of the heaty / cooling stuff, and can also get a variety of vitamins and antioxidants.

Yeah, scrapping apples into a paste and feeding my son. 🙂 So beautiful as I recall.

They should be quite good too. I eat two per day 😄

Banana provides a lot of energy so if my kid is the active type, is it ok to give?

Banana is high in potassium and gives energy. Eat one in the day time but dun give at night coz high in sugar and carbo. It’s also good for pple with constipation.
