Hi steamysteam
Your scenario Example for SCGS phase 2C:
29 vacancies.
In case 26 SC & 7 PR apply:
All 26 SC will be given absolute priority over PR regardless of distance priority.
Remaining 3 vacancies will be allotted to these 7 PR base on distance priority. If all are within 1km, balloting take place.
In case 30 SC & 7 PR apply:
The 7 PR will be booted out automatically due to the new SC over PR ruling even if all the 7 PR stay <1km. 29 vacancies will be allotted to these 30 SC base on distance priority. Example out of these 30, 10 stay <1km, all these 10 will be given the first seats and in case 19 more stay (1-2km), they will be admitted as well leaving the single one (>2km) out of contention. No balloting will take place in such instance.
Hope this address your doubts -

Nails biting on next wed balloting at ACPS......
Why our educational system so stressful...... Sigh......
A classic double whammy! :slapshead:
Wondering if I have any comrade here going for the ballotneither me on next wed. -
Hi, any idea what the SC:PR ratio is like in SCGS? THis is the 1st year whereby PRs are given such low priority. From past year record, within 1 km is generally safe, but this year has a sharp increase in sibling & alumni girls.... Any indication that it will be as safe for SC kids within 1 km? Referring to phase 2C

Hi Bukitteresa and Jsmm, thanks for the well wishes. Bukitteresa, do you need to ballot as well? Wish you the best of luck. Will you be going down for the balloting on Wednesday? It is at 9 am at the Ava room on the third floor

Could anyone confirm if there is balloting for ACSJ P2B? Read somewhere that there are 2PRs in <1km. If that is the case, then there will be 2 extra seats for all the >2km to ballot. Is that correct?
-
I understand 20 persons applied under P2B within 1 km. Are they SC?

MR06:
Do you how many SC and PR applied under 1 Km? Thanks.
in the SCGS case, there are 26 singaporeans that are within 2km. These 26 will get in via distance from school. There are 7 Sing that are > 2km. They will ballot for the 4 places. The PR will not be balloting as PR has lower priority.steamystream:
Guru's please help with my questions!!!
1) So in 2B there are 34 trying for 30 in SCGS.... What will happen to the 4? Will they join the 2C, if they do, will they then have special privileges! Or just be like the regular 2c applicants?
2) In 2C if there are 30 spaces and 35 applys... In the 35: 20 are below 1km and 15 are 1km up. Will the school take in the below 1km first and ballot the 15 for the balance 10 spaces? Or place all 35 on ballot?
Thanks! -

I also heard this from my neighbour when he returned from yesterday's registration. It seems so. But can confirm with the school on Monday. Are you applying at ACSJ? I can find out for you as one of admin staff is in the same church as mine.
