Any news on Henry Pk.... ?

Henry Park - I was there up to 4.30pm
Less than 1km - 7 applicants (all SC)
      1km - 2km - 4 applicants (all SC I think - not sure)
So ballot will be those more than 2km only

Oh than that is still not too bad.
Yes, overall it was not too bad. It was better than expectation, since there were only 12 places to begin with. When I was there, there were a couple of other parents who were there, waiting for 4.30pm to be over, and we were all so afraid that there will be pple coming in to register last minute. We were all very relieved when it was 4.31pm! Never knew time can past so slowly.... 😓 . Anyway, thank you to all that have answered all my numerous queries in this P1 registration.

seems like too many Christian applied MGS. Must stay within 1 km

The breakdown for MGS is as follows for 2B:

<1km: 36 (+ 2 PR who have no opportunity in this Phase at all)

          1-2km: 1

          > 2km: 6

So 36 living within 1km will ballot for 28 slots.

I was reading [Novena] Primary Schools thread. One mummy wrote that if her daughter gets balloted out of SCGS in P2C she’s going to conduct an investigation for address cheaters…

this year, Straits Times reporters can get very busy if they follow up cases on Primary 1 Registration cheaters < 1 km reported by police - from hot, popular branded schools in SG.

              Hi mummies,

I need some advice here. We are staying 1km within NYPS and 1-2km within RGPS. Which school do you think I’ll have a higher chance on getting in? We would be registering in phase 2C.

NYPS would be a better fit for us because of the distance and I think it would suit my daughter more since Chinese is her strength. Plus I also like that it’s a mix school.

MGS is a prestigous school. Is it only prestigous?

Today, where is MGS academic standing ?

MGS beat SCGS and some co-ed GEP schools flat

Think no control and requirements over who can be issued with the church letters for registration. If there are some requirements set by MGS and ACS, the no. of applications may reduce.

                        Hi phtthp,
Thanks for the insights on MGS.
                        Any comparison with RGPS?
