      hashroop:
i just got back from school. Very disappointed with my son's results..he got 179 . 2c and 2b. I dont feel like reading this thread anymore because i keep seeing \"oh ive got 230, or 240, or 260 etc etc..\" Im happy for the all those who have performed well but why couldnt one of them be my son. We sent him from tuiton A to tuiton B to tuiton C. Spent $$$. Burnt the midnite oil..Prayed and prayed but what is the end results???

Hope someone can feel what I am feeling now....
hi hashroop, if your son tried his best, that's all that matters. Life is a marathon, psle is only the quartermark. In fact, come what may, EQ is definitely much more importantly than IQ. I'll rejoice for those who did well; but for those who didn't, it's definitely not a mark of what they will become 9 years down the road. Jia you!

btw, I heard of someone who did badly in school up till o levels (lousy neighbourhood schools at that) - suddenly that fella bloomed and went on to 1st class honours in NUS, and now earning super big bucks.

          Hi Hashroop

Don’t despair! The most important thing now is to be supportive. Whilst we, as parents may be upset and disappointed, it is very important that we are there for our children as well.

I am sure he has done his best. Be there for him. To some others, "PSLE may be the new Os", but it is how we face up to challenges in life that make us a better person.

What is important is that both parents and child do not give up. Think about how he is feeling too. It is important to be supportive and encouraging, and look forward to working together for a brighter future.
