i almost reg my son for 2013 as i was told tt OLD GIRLS and BOYS from Stamford Girls’ / Waterloo Pri / Selige Pri DO NOT require balloting !
me from Waterloo and late mum Chinese Teacher from Stamford Girls for more than 30yrs of teaching which was oso late mum’s dying wish for my son to reg in Phrase 2A1 instead of Phrase 2A2 … then managed to spoken to Allied Educator ( Ms Samantha ) coz’ my son diagonsed with ADHD … very happy to see the website for the OLD teachers whom I known from Stamford and Waterloo -less than 10 teachers still TEACHING ! Despite I residing in the east with at least require 60mins of train ride and hesitate very long long while.
My late mum used to babysit this boy and graduating from NUS … tis boy year was good, so long registered for Pre-Primary (wat so call K2) then can auto direct admission for P1 …
Just to share … initial years of Stamford Primary School, many Koreans studied as there ain’t any Korea Int’l School … then slowly have Int’l Kids registered.
To my personal view of any schools are depending on the child … Even branded schools like TNS , NYPS too have poor grades performance children !! I’m sourcing for mainsteam schools to have good team of teaching staff whom can handle ’ special needs children ’ like my son coz’ he can’t get into PathLight School … Btw, Stamford Pri School; Ms Samantha specialised handling ASD (Austism Spectrum Disorder ) kids … -

All the names of the teachers ring a bell. My Chinese teacher was Mrs Goh? And of cos taught by Mrs Then and Mrs De silva. I just walked into the Waterloo campus a few months ago. I can still remember where my pri 1 classroom was. Was pointing out to DH where the canteen used to be....[/quote]Hi Starlight1968sg, Lavender_Tea, Millicent, dumpty and lizawa
Glad to meet all of you here!
Another former Stamford Girls School here, but my teacher was Mrs Abraham in Primary 1. Anyone taught by her before? -
Hi Kiasimi,
Me!! Taught by Mrs Abraham in P1, 1 Orchid to be precise, very stern but good Jewish teacher.
The school was known as Stamford Girls when I was in P1-P4, and merged with the neighbouring Waterloo School to become Stamford Primary when I was in P5-6. -

Let's get in touch via PM. -
Hello kiasimi and chatty,
Do you have any children in this school? What levels are they in? Please share the experiences of yourselves as parents and your children as students of this school. Thank you. -

Unfortunately I am not able to share anything with you, as I graduated from the school some 30 years ago!
However, what I can share is from my experience, proximity is a very important consideration when choosing a school for your kid. It allows the child to wake up later in the morning and enjoy more sleep since since most schools are single morning session now. The kids can also reach home earlier after a tiring schoolday, and you yourselr would find it more convenient when you drop by the school for the Meet-the-parents session etc. -
I believe this thread is for parents with children in the school so we can share our experiences, so that’s why I asked.

No school tomorrow and Friday. But no idea if there’s e-learning.
