Many of the girls are from MGS, SCGS and Crescent. There are a few (don't think that many) from RGS and these ones do very well in IB.
Thanks Lynn & jtoh for your reply.
Yes, ACSI takes in girls fr Year 5. These girls can be from IP or those taken O levels. Read in another tread in the forum, there are quite a number from RGSLynn2010:
Just to check, ACS only take in girls in year 5?
So where do these girls usually transfer from? Another IP school?
I have been eyeing this school as 1st choice for my dd. However, just found out today that girls can't join till year 5 :faint:
That means she would need to go to another school for the first 4 years before applying for ACSI. In that case is ACSI still a good choice for girls?
And which IP school should she go (in the meantime) if we intend to keep the option open to apply to ACSI in year 5? NUS High?
She prefers co-ed schools.
Thanks for your advice :salute: -

If you like ACSI, you can consider MGS. IP program joining ACSI in Year 5

Thanks for your advice :salute:
I think the only other co-ed IP schs would be NJC, TJC, Dunman High and River Valley -

The best option is to join MGS' 6 year through train which leads to ACSI. It'll be seamless.
Thanks Lynn & jtoh for your reply.

If your intention is to eventually join ACSI, there's no need to go for an IP school. You can just go to a good O level school, take the O levels and join ACSI after that.
If you still wish to join an IP school before transferring to ACSI in Year 5, it doesn't really make a difference. Although I would say not NUSH because the emphasis would be vastly different from IB. -
HopefulFather:
Hello, my son is in ACSI sec2 and has been called for 2nd interview for year 3 IP selection. why 2nd interview ? did any of your children go for 2nd interviews ? thanks a ton !
What average did your son got for his mid year? As far as I know, they only go for one interview unless its a borderline case between confirmed and probation. -
autolycus:
Dear autolycus, seek your information about admission to ACSI(IB) at year 5. Do students who take \"o\" level have chance to go to ACSI (IB)? what is COP?DadOfGirl:
Looks very interesting school for my Humanities oriented DD... Next year DSA sure must try one... have they stopped Test they were conducting when they were not on JAE posting? & have they kind of become mainstreme MOE school after couple of years of running IB program independently?
Haha, no... they are not mainstream at all now.
Thank you so much! -
ACSI is actually easier to get into than RI or HCI via O level JAE.

Really? can share your insight and experience, if any? Thanks -
It’s just my observation from my friends. Some of my friends who got L1R5 3 net couldn’t get into RI or HCI, but they got into ACSI. I also have friends in ACSI who have L1R5 4 net. Which is why I said it’s easier to get in, COP wise.

OIC. Thanks, does it have bonus point for affiliated schools?
