      Hi ngbrdad

Since your son has been in P4 GEP in NHPS, could you please share with me the workload in this school?..Do I still need to buy him assessment books or past year question paper for him to practice..If yes, pls advice the type of assessment books and the publishers.
For HCL just get the usual HCL assessment books.
For the rest unfortunately there are no ready assessment books or past year papers.
At least for science you can follow the syallabus, as for math just let your child practice on P5 and P6 questions.

        Hi Lovemummy,

If I were you, I would hv \"chong\" to the school to settle the issue with the principal asap.

Cos the principal may clear leave and go for his/her vacation.

        Cheers!

Ya..I have just received a reply from NHPS about my request..They told me, currently they don't have vacancy for P2 so will put my younger son on waiting list..sigh

        NHPS is usually like that.
My son has been there since Primary one.
We moved to withing 1km from the school to get a balloting chance prior to that.
I tried writing to the school to offer my service as a parent volunteer a few times but they replied that they didn't need any.
So went for balloting and my son got in.
Still remembered we got in almost right at the end ( sixty something out of 70 places)

Now they are asking us every year to help out as parent volunteers.

I think most of the GEP info should be up in the school websites alerady. Just checked for CHS, already listed total 54 students for 2 GEP classes next year.

I think only CHS have not other school. only parents can share if they know....

Ya... browse through other schools websites... most of them not updated with the GEP allocation list and updates... still on PSLE.. wonder why they take so long...

                    Hi ngbrdad,

Are the worksheets uniquely prepared by the school teachers and only exam papers are commonly run by MOE?

Are you saying the P4 GEP maths takes P5 & P6 mainstream topics? Do we need to buy P5/6 mainstream text books? Are the CA SA format same as P5/6 mainstream?

What about English ? Is the standard equivalent to P5 or P6 and the CA and SA format same as that of mainstream?

                    Tks.

                      Hi Zann

Your kid will experience a sudden change of pace in the school curriculum in P4 GEP, so perhaps u shd let him have a phase-in period to get accustomed to the new school, new friends & new format before piling him with more assessment paper.

Thanks Full.Cream. Actually I am thinking more of what I need to buy from popular while they still have 20% discount. People told me P4 materials need not buy anymore, so I just want to be sure before I buy.
