      Hi Zann

Your kid will experience a sudden change of pace in the school curriculum in P4 GEP, so perhaps u shd let him have a phase-in period to get accustomed to the new school, new friends & new format before piling him with more assessment paper.

Thanks Full.Cream. Actually I am thinking more of what I need to buy from popular while they still have 20% discount. People told me P4 materials need not buy anymore, so I just want to be sure before I buy.

I have dropped by to RGPS… they said that they will send out a "GEP package" to the GEP parents soon.

So info may not be posted online but will be sent to us by post.

          Cheers!

Don't think CHS will send out anymore package as most of the GEP info already posted on the websites.

                    Hi ngbrdad

Since your son has been in P4 GEP in NHPS, could you please share with me the workload in this school?..Do I still need to buy him assessment books or past year question paper for him to practice..If yes, pls advice the type of assessment books and the publishers.

For HCL just get the usual HCL assessment books.
For the rest unfortunately there are no ready assessment books or past year papers.
At least for science you can follow the syallabus, as for math just let your child practice on P5 and P6 questions.

Mine didn't work on any academic stuff during p4/5 yearend hols. Checkout his experience here, if you haven't. Have added 2 paras on assessment books/mainstream syllabus.

                      Hi Yukilei,

I got a confirmation today from HPPS that if your kid not taking HCL, need not stay back on Tue... so Mon and Fri confirmed. Given my DS interest in science club, he still need to stay back on Tue for CCA 😛

HPPS will send out a package via mail to all 2010 P4 GEP posted there. It will include necessary information like purchase of books and uniforms, etc in this mail. So wait.

Wanna share this with all parents here. HOD confirmed my question/doubt about how best to prepare my DS. The advice is simply to let them enjoy this Dec holiday. As best as possible, encourage them to do things they like in this short period of time. Just prepare them by talking to them about the change of school environment and workload. Given them Dec to recharge and face the new challenge in 2010. :celebrate:

Yes, mine is also in HPPS. Don't think you can choose a CCA on Fri as the IRS ends at 4.30pm. All CCA starts at 3.15pm. So, only have Mon & Tues CCA to choose. Can you let me know when is the date for CLA once you get the info from the HOD. Thks

Hi blur_daddy, does this mean that those who take HCL must stay back on Mon as well Tue? Thanks.
