which school is better? chung cheng high or tanjong katong sec?

Both equally good.
My neighbour was deciding between the 2. Her daughter chose Chung Cheng cos she is into chinese culture and speech and drama.

hi carebear thanks.
Since Maris Stella is also a SAP school, does it mean kids with poorer CL will have difficulty in coping?

HI..do consider Kranji Sec... COP 238 i think. Pupils speak well, behave well and seldom come across BGR display openly at least on the train. And value added.

My input.

parentof3:
All the schools are good schools but all COP at 238 or higher except for TKG. For me i will put first two choices above 238, next 2 around 238 and last two below 238. To be safe. just my opinion

I stay in the West...Nan Hua pupils behave well so far whenever I met them.. there was a 'couple' but they behave discretely...ie only sitting very near each other with loving eyes ..unlike students form elsewhere who openly display affections disgustingly. And girls are usually more focussed in studies so can have +ve positive influence perhaps...all boys i m unsure so cant comment.

My son got 251 for his psle... +1 for hmt. He wants to go to Catholic High but it's very far from our home. I would prefer he go to Nan Hua which is near to our house. Can anyone provide information on the school culture etc of these two schools? Is it better for him to go to a boys' school or a mixed school?

my daughter is very obsessed about IP, but the question is, what are the advantages of IP? I heard somewhere that if one drop out of IP, it'll be like he/she hasn't even graduated from secondary school and well, are there that many schools that consider IP???

:?

Thanks yellow-dk, good to know that the COP was 256, at least there is some hope then. Yes, you are right it is risky, but we dont seem to have many choices. Planning to also apply to NUS High, but not very confident there too.

Thanks for your advice.
Hi Harini
My friend called school today, last yr's COP for IB was 257

Thanks yellow-dk,

Thats brings me back to 'cat-on-wall' state - hahhahhaa.
I dont have much choices, so it will be ACS(I) for 1st choice. Thanks for ur advice. Hopefully my boy makes it to the IB. Generally from the feel of things looks like the COP may go down a point - hoping and πŸ™ for that !!
