I'm glad I hv a good aunty to take care of me.
Ah~, you are the little one that ventured into our adult land... WELCOME.
You are a blessed one, having a good \"aunty\" to take care of you...
Cherish your aunty, don't take her for granted. (And vice versa...)
Cheers!
PS. Cheers to your aunty too. Regards. -

6pm officially but she is usually back earlier. Sometimes she will be sitting in the park down the road waiting for us!When you give maid off day, what time she must come back home ?
Thank alot.
If there is a special occasion then I will let her stay out longer. e.g. she went to a concert at Downtown East earlier this year, birthday parties as they are usually at East Coast which is a long journey back for her, events at HOME where she helps out sometimes. -

Hi Peapot, long time no see  ...yes, I'm waiting for the day taht I can do without a maid too. Being at their peril is not a good thing - i'm onto my 7th maid liao. #6 with all that health history - now fair and fat (baibai pang pang) suddenly said mother sick and wants to go home! But nice thing is that she waited for the new maid to come, then go home.MizzNAH:
Haiz, me too having the same dilemma whether to get a new maid or becoming full time housewife. The amount of money spend is not worth since we a dealing with human-being. The maid may not suit us and end of the day, we will suffer the most while agency getting more richer.
Since you have a choice might as well do without a maid. At least no need to suffer mental headaches while still paying high salary. My blood level shoot up with my previous maid. Its not worth it!! My neighbour who is a granny lives with her son and daughter in law. Maid treated the granny terribly when the couple is out working. When the couple is back home, maid suddenly becomes super maid. As a result, couple don't believe granny's words. For me I would rather believe my own family member than a maid.
Family member will still be there when you face problem but when you don't put money on the table the maid will be the first to go.
I cannot wait for the day when I can do without a maid!!!
Sigh, its not like the mother got sick only after she's left. Has CA and refused medical help. Already had condition few years back and yet this single mother of 2 chose to come out to work....and now less thatn10 months and having to pay for her larger medical bill than my last 2 years, suffer from her messiness and lack of hygiene, I had to let her go....
When will I, will I be free (sung to the tune of when will I be famous) :please: -
The recent news about the Philippines blacklisting Singapore employers who don’t pay their maids’ placement fees has me very worried.
My maid’s contract expires next year. I’m wondering about Sri Lankans. It used to be quite common to hire them, but demand seems to have dropped.
Anybody know anything about hiring Sri Lankans? -
Why Hellooo Andaiz…where have you been!!!
This is a never ending topic and problem. Don’t you think? -

Maid goes out at about 10 am, after making sure all of us ate our breakfast. She will also bath one of my 2 kids to help me out. Then at about 9 am she will go bath and get ready to go out. Previously she used to come back by about 8.30 pm. Nowadays with my 2nd one I requested her to come back earlier since the baby sleeps early. So she comes back by about 8 pm. On \"disaster days\" when me/hubby could not quite handle she will help us to tidy up and pick up the \"tail ends\". So usually by early evening time we will start to look forward to her coming back!

Hi all,
I’ve got a question to ask. My maid just got her full salary recently and I am thinking of opening a POSB FDW bank account for her so that I can deposit her salary into the account instead of her keeping so much cash at home.
I am just wondering whether I should let her keep the ATM card whilst I keep the bank book or should I be keeping both?
TIA!
