Your hubby can become a member but you can volunteer on his behalf. Hope this helps.
Hokkien Huey Kuan (SHHK) - for Hokkien dialect folks only.angelwink35:
Hi.
I want to check if my husband join SHHK as member , but he has no time to do volunteer work as he most weekend he works. I am not a hokkein ( this is a big issue ? ). Can I volunteer to help out at SHHK instead ?
since you aren't Hokkien - cannot join, can't volunteer.
only your husband can join - because he is Hokkien. -

Regardless of religion, it is the principle behind that is wrong. What morale high ground he or she has when the kid has integrity issue? What type of moral value does these parents want to impart to their next generation?

Does anyone can confirm that for Maris Stella, if son is not baptised, one of the parent is a catholic β¦ is still ok for Phase 2B ?
Sorry if this has been dicussed b4β¦ just too much to scroll thru the history β¦ thank u !! -
Not ok. The student need to be catholic for 2B. They check for baptism cert.

Baptise just to get themselves into the desired school? Really very sad.

they must be desperate -
Daddy is already baptised since he was a kid, however our DS is not. (I dont even get myself baptised to marry hubby β¦ so we are not that desperate ok β¦ lol)
I called the school twice and both time they told me if child is not baptised, either one of the parent baptism cert is ok. However, one of my collegue and info from forum seems to indicate parent and child have to be batipsed as well. So I am wondering if I should doubt the information i got from schoolβ¦
Anyone actually applied at Phase 2B with only one parent as a Catholic at Maris Stella ? -

(b) For a child whose parent is a member endorsed by the church/clan directly connected with the primary school
You should eligible for P2B.
