      thnx for the details

The school’s booklist shows "Friedrich" published by Heinamann, but Popular only sells Puffin version. The school’s bookshop orders will only be in when school starts. Anyone can advise whether Puffin is ok? I’ve searched the web for Heinamann’s Friedrich but don’t have.

Actually I found in on internet..maybe can check with the school bookshop..

Saw in Popular Jubilee under publisher of Puffin.. similarly for the Charlotte Web also only under Puffin. Asked them for Pearson or Penguin, was told none. Tomorrow will try to ask the Popular ION Orchard..

Ok,...the 2nd-hand bookshop is called \"BookPoint\" on 3rd level. I just went today. I bought \"A Wrinkle in Time\" and some Sherlock Holmes books plus some other books which I thought my boy would be interested in. And there are quite a few copies, including Charlotte's Web, so if you don't need new copies, or your child is not in GEP but would like to read, then yeah, can get from here. Ranges from S$4 to S$8. And now having 20% discount - maybe more if you give the man a sweet big smile. *haha*.

              Yay !

Just received delivery of dd's school books ! We placed an order with Pacific Bookstore (Rosyth's book supplier) last week. But the Charlotte's web we got is by Puffin and not Pearson.

Hmm ... according to the booklist on its website, it shd be by Pearson leh. Will hv to call Pacific tomorrow to check why.

Rosyth did not send any GEP package/letter and cld not get hold of its HOD yet (maybe on holiday ?) Main office says GEP matters hv to be referred to her.

Oh well, if nothing is heard out from the school, dd will just report for school on 4 Jan with whatever we deem necessary to bring.

And we have bought dd's uniform too 🙂 The pinafore is so cute (but rather difficult to iron, what with the many creases and folds)

Will wait for school to start to find out which house she's assigned to before buying her PE top (which is colour coded according to House)

Ordered book but not delivered yet. They get to wear polo collar T-shirt for both PE and on usual days. 🙂

HPPS send package to us for a brief intro, which is good.

Teachers are great coz they attended to my queries even during school hols 🙂

Is your child excited? For mine, I don't think the whole thing has compeletly sunken in yet - maybe it's the denial syndrome.

Bought the book the first saturday after the announcement. The week after that, received the welcome package and class arrangement from CHS on what to expect or bring on the first day of school. Given 3 weeks period to get the name tag done.

Quite organized and the HOD GEP attended to the SMS I sent by calling me back.

My DS look forward to his new school...

For CHS, in the welcome package, mentioned that on the first day, the parents will be usher to another place for the briefing. So maybe for other GEP school, need to be prepare in case they also have the same kind of arrangement…
