Can you really trust word of mouth?
It is still depend on each kids. For example, parent A recommends to parent B about how good is the tuition centre or tutor, how her kids enjoy. So parent B enrolled but her kid has attitude problem, doesn’t like the tutor’s style. Hence withdrew.
How parent A will react? How the tutor will think about parent A and parent? So embarrassing. -

not trying to contradict myself, just dun want any parent here to lose a good tutor if they discriminate the male ones... who knows if he can teach very well and ur dd likes his teaching? -
Tuition centres are registered with MOE. You can complain to MOE if you find them cheating. But be carefull of those popular ones. Some are franchised. They may not be as good as the original operator.

we are not discussing about tuition centres, but tuition agencies and tuition coordinators...
for tuition agencies and tuition coordinators, u cannot complain them anywhere... even when u bring up to case, there is little they can do.... -

I just feel more safe if it's a female tutor as my daughter is usually at home alone in the weekday afternoons when she has her tuition. Imagine if anything happens, my daughter will have no help. Ok, I daren't imagine. -

try not to leave dd at home alone too often..
