      Kitty,

may i know which branch of MindStretcher Science your girl studied in ?
She was 1 year at Yishun branch and 6 months at Bt. Panjang Plaza when we moved to the west.
The above comments applies mainly to the centre at Bt. Panjang as that was the feedback I received from my gal.

              Hi All,

Just want to share my opinions on Mind Stretcher.
My girl was with Mind Stretcher for 1.5 years. It is undeniable that their notes are really good. But I realised not much teaching is conducted in class.
On every lesson, students will be given worksheets to be done in class. And teachers will go through the mistakes on the previous worksheets that has been marked. However, teacher will only go through questions that most students can't answered. Imagine if the class is 2 hours, how much time is left for teaching if students are doing a set worksheet during lesson ?!?!
Personally felt it is pointless doing the worksheets blindly if students don't even have the concept and knowledge to answer.

However, please note above findings is concluded as per how my gal's teacher conducted the class. It does/might not apply for all teachers/classes in Mind Stretcher.
Then if most students can answer the questions but my child can't answer?

                Hi weatherbee,

The teacher will ask u to go through the notes yourself as answer can be found there. If still unsure, you may ask the teacher after the lesson.

My dc attends the MS science for the past 2 yrs. It is true that they focus more on worksheet. However, the teacher goes through all the questions in the class.

some parents seem to focus on experiments and hands on when it comes to science for their dcs. but for me and also as advised by some good tutors i met, they suggest for more technical skills and answering skills, because you need to apply all these in exams in schools to do well. some children might just enjoy experiments for the fun of it, but have little takeaway from the experiments.

                        CNS:
I will be checking Newton Apple in the east. Will update here again.

Went for the briefing last Saturday. According to them, no notes will be provided. However, kids will be given a blank piece of paper where the teacher will try to conceptualise the pointers to the kids by getting them to draw on the blank piece of paper. Rest of the lesson will be doing the MCQs and answering techniques.

May work for some but unfortunately, dun think it will work for my gal.. continue sourcing again. :xedfingers:
