raysusan:

wow thanks u so much for such a fast reply

ok let me add on
my house only have husband and wife + 7yo DD and 1yo DS
i dont think i need a dryer as i think it may be very costly
many ppl told me that front load is better and i hope i can get a good one at not more than 1k

so many brands and model out there really give me :stupid:

:?: :?:

For front load washing machine, one of the more reputable brand is BOSCH. They have been making washing machines for 50 years.
There are a few models to choose from and do get those made in Germany.
I used Bosch and it is water saving and energy efficient.
Yes, front load is better than top load because of the way the tub spins and your clothes are supposed to last longer.
Hope that helps ๐Ÿ˜„

I bought a top end 8kg BOSCH, made in Germany last July. Yes, it is efficient and silent. In less than a year, the last cycle of the washing ie spin is intermittently not working. This week, it will be the 2nd service I am calling.
Spoke to the Bosch service man the last time he visited and he asked if I bought extended warranty... ๐Ÿ˜“

• RE: Feedback on Newton Apple at Jurong East
My child attended Newton Apple Jurong East at p5. They teach contents as well as process skill. However, it is only a 1.5 hr programme so there is only so much that the teacher can teach with a class or 12/15 students. Pretty good programme considering the fee charged.

At p6, I moved my child to Science Heuristics at GoldHill taught by the founder himself Cedric Chai. The reason why I did that is because I felt my child needs more help in answering questions than the acquisition of knowledge. However, I am disappointed with the programme at science heuristic. The notes are brief, few questions covered in each lesson, fee charged is high, minimal homework is given. On hindsight, I should have let my child stay on at Newton Apple. My 2 cents worth of comments.
Thanks Proudmum for the comments. I am considering Science Heuristic for PSLE holiday program but find the fees high too. Will consider Newton Apple instead.

BLACKLIST - Donald 84815700 !

Found this contact via craigslist for disposal service. Came to my place, viewed, quoted and claimed that he does charity work. He will help to give away the usable furniture. How noble! He arrived on time the day - very good, and with him came another man. The man came to pick up the dining set. For some reasons, the dining table could not be dismantled, the man left without a word.

This Donald also tried to mantle a while and went downstair with the helper to pick up something. I saw his small van moving out of the apartment and called him umpteen but refused to pick up. He never returned. No apologies; nothing. Plainly Irresponsible!

• RE: How much will you spend on maid's dental cost

My previous maid stole my sanitary pads. I exposed on her last day and did not pay a cent extra which was not my practice. Told her that I would not hesitate to be a witness if she continues her stealing habit from her new employers. Hope she turns around.

Now, this current maid wants to go dental checkup. Should I pay for her? Still thinking....

• RE: Brainfit Studio - Discussion

Hi GabyEn,

I sent my boy for assessment, and very tempted to sign up. However, my boy has a disorder and not too sure if the program will help.

How soon did you see a result in your boy? If I interpret correctly, it seems very short for your case, like you signed your boy up in Sep '10 and he showed great improvement in SA2 result. Was that a very intensive program he went through? Thanks for sharing.

Pulled out after 2 terms with neumind. My boy did not enjoy the class and show not much progress. The administration could have been improved further. Quite a few miscomm and I was very upset when my deposit was not refunded though it was promised to have a follow up.
